Do ghosts hurt people?

I wanted to know if ghosts hurt people, I'm pretty sure they don't, all they can do is scare you, I think it would be cool to live with a ghost that's nice. This is just a random discussion

Well, I am 100% sure that ghosts will not physically hurt you in any way. However, there may be a chance that ghosts could hurt you emotionally (and in the worst cases, mentally), especially if those ghosts were from a member of your family you just lost...

0% sure that ghosts can't hurt people even mentally....
if the ghosts can hurt people through MENTALLY....
therefore,
there are plenty of crimes that Ghosts are the main suspect....
and until now, no such law, jury, lawyer, judge, will agree that forcing this ghosts to enter jail....
because that ghosts committed a crime, therefore it must be jailed.....
you cannot use Ghosts as a form of evidence, witness, or any similarities to bring criminals to justice....

Well, if it's a poltergiest they could move objects to cause you harm. Also a ghost can affect you mentally if you are not a strong character. I have heard of people being kept awake by a ghost, which in turn leads to sleep deprevation and in one case caused them to crash their car.
