Well, Market Glory is the latest paid to play game to hit the scene. It's similar to Anno1777 in a number of ways. In fact, I doubt Market Glory would have been launched if Anno1777 did not blaze the trail first, but it's perhaps not quite fair to call MG a complete clone of Anno either...the university system, modern transportation methods, and new resource/goods types do give the game a different feel despite the similar gameplay and menus. The game is still very much under construction -- about all I can do at the moment is fight some bot named "trainer" over and over again -- but it looks like it might be good once it is fully developed and it seems to be improving by the day.
I do find something puzzling about this game, though. As I said, it is not fully developed yet. There is no in-game help or documentation, just a forum (and if you don't speak Romanian, you'll need to use an online translator to follow the discussions there). It's new, having opened up registrations just last week. So, what I can't understand is why there are players investing thousands of euros into a site that is so green. Do the investors know who owns the game? Is the owner a current or ex Anno1777 player? As a player, I'm grateful that people are investing in the game...real cash economy games don't work if there's no real cash flowing through the game. I'm amazed, though, at the big amounts being invested at such an early stage. I can only assume that they are either phenomenal risk takers or know something I don't! Personally, I'll just be watching and playing for now, not investing...what about you?

Most of people belive owner/admin is one of the owners / admins from anno1777.
The big investment may be not quite real and/or the user who bang the economy there may be the owner or someone close to him.
People ar having some complaints in anno1777 and opening of a new similar (same script) game may be beneficial for one or both games.
Just to be clear, anno1777 is also unfinished and beta version ...
