Some people always have an agenda.

Have ever noticed that some people only want to talk to you when they have a need to know about something? They want the lastest gossip and they volunteer just enough information to get others to give up what they know. Only to find out later that they will use your information against you. Some people cannot have a genuine conversation because their whole purpose to talk with you is to fulfill their agenda to have more gain in their life. They are selfish and only wish to promote themselves. Why do some people act this way?

Well, it's not easy to find someone who really sincerely want to share, most people are acting like it. In fact there are people who think his friends just as friends do business only. However there are still people who really know the meaning of friends or companions. When to give and when to take. There should be a symbiotic mutualism. If it does not exist then the relationship is not good. And if the relationship is not good then need to look for another association that can accept the principle of symbiotic mutualism

This is so accurate. Thanks ckfree for this description. If there is no symbiotic mutualism in this relationship then there is no support and we all struggle. This appears to always be a one-sided relationship. One being is using the characteristics of the other for predatory-like gain while the other suffers. It is so frustating why some people are the way they are. Definitely time to move one to a group who embraces symbiotic mutualism.

this is an adam smithian thinking; that everyone is driven by self-interest. this is how economy and society are structured. that's why we have laws that govern our actions. however, it is not always the case. some people are altruistic that they think of others highly before themselves. examples of this are heroes who sacrificed themselves for others.

business101 Why because they have been spoiled as children and as adults too. they grow up thinking the world owe then a living which is is patently a lie. I do not have time to give to people like that . my real friends are all I have time for and or will make time for.

If you are not creative yourself, if you are intelligent enough, if you got the feeling other people are way more interesting as you are, so your self esteem is low, the only thing you can do is hang around with interesting people. Or play it smart and just hang around them if you need them (for something). And if this person is too "stupid" to complain why shouldn't you steal his/her idea and say it's yours?
