how would you utilize taekwondo in MMA?

There have been a lot of criticisms thrown towards taekwondo that it can't be utilized for MMA an it's all fancy kicks or whatsoever which I do not believe. I want to hear it from taekwondo practitioners or former practitioners what's your stand about this.
