How young is too young for Facebook?

I've seen many of my friends' kids on Facebook, and thought, how young is too young for Facebook? Even though there is an age requirement of 13 years old, there are people that make Facebook pages FOR their children (I personally think 13 is still too young). What do you think? When will you let your child(ren) go on Facebook?

I think it really depends on how the kid will use Facebook or depending on the guidance of their parents. For me, kids who are 13 years old above can use it.

I think that there are far too many children under the age of 13 who use the website, and that shouldn't be allowed. At the end of the day, there is an age limit for a reason, and it just isn't safe for people under that age to use. I think that, after the age of 13, it is okay for them to create an account but you just have to be incredibly careful that it doesn't take over their lives. It's too easy to spend a lot of time adding things to your page and not doing school work and not going out with friends, and this is something that you have to be careful with.

I would let my kid on Facebook if they wanted to be on it were say 5th grade plus as long as I was their friend and could check out what they were doing. People let their kids talk to other kids about videogames and homework, but are afraid to let them meet new people and broaden their horizons on a social network such as Facebook. I don't understand the difference.

Facebook is a good use of fact that is making the better interaction, to identify others who live far away, but there are still those who abuse it and cause problems for themselves and for others. So, actually the one that the user (the abuse). Accessing Facebook can be, but with the rules. If the age limit, like all ages can wear them, but children under the age should still be monitored. If to organize, do not do bad things, such as contempt, ridicule, etc. How to fix it, taught it from childhood or monitored.
