Is the survival of the main characters a Happy Ending in a movie?

I find that a lot of Happy Endings in some action movies are when the main characters survive and pull off a kiss in the last scene while getting out of trouble. But I think thats ridiculous how its still a happy ending no matter how many people died out of their team or in general during the movie. Sometimes many people just get slaughtered and in some magical way the main character finds a way to escape/kill the guys after them and then its all good. What do you guys think about that? What is your perfect happy ending scene?
