I imagine the street in Yogyakarta, will be crowded and jammed in the days before Eid. But it turns out, the road is not as busy as I had imagined. Perhaps because many students who had returned home.

I went to Malioboro and it was crowded but I consider it as a normal crowded, not far different from the usual day before the Eid Fitri. I think because many students who comes from outside city back to their hometown while people who work outside Yogyakarta come back home to visit their family. But there are several streets that we need to avoid because of the traffic is very crowded like Kaliurang street, jogja solo street, infront Mirota kampus. its better to use alternative road to go to your destination place instead of passing those streets. if you want to go to prambanan I suggest using alternative street such as piyungan street. To be trapped in traffic jam is very annoying and tiring.

Before Idul Fitri, I went to Solo, during the trip, I do not see congestion. My journey is very smooth. Today, I come home to Yogyakarta, and the road is jammed, filled with cars from out of town.

yes, it not only happens in your city, Jogjakarta you can see that Jakarta is not crowded in Aidl Fitri day.. because many people prefer to celebrate Aidl Fitri in their village...it`s happy than must celebrate alone and far away from family where do you in Aidil Fitri day??

Same here, the streets in my area here also not crowded and jammed since majorities of my Muslim neighbors are spending their time in village. They prefer to celebrate Eid in village area. Even the shopping malls areas are not crowded at all...Very quiet and silent...Happy Aidilfitri to all Muslim members...
