text messages can make you think

Just this day, my classmate sent me a text message that says "You can never fall in love with someone whom 'you never laughed with'". That message is a group message, so, it is not necessarily directed to me. This message just made me think. I have a relationship with someone who is very far from me. I'm not sure if I really like him. After reading the message, I actually doubted on what I feel, "Do I really like him?" To what extent to you believe in that statement?

I agree with the statement. I believe in a relationship where there is an abundance of laughter. Even amidst crisis, a simple joke or act can turn set the mood the other way around. Relationship lasts longest :)

Yeah. If you spent more time together, you will be more attached to the other person. Because of that attachment, it will be hard for both of the parties to leave each other. If ever they split up, they will remember the other one when they do things that they used to do together. My! I can relate.

To fall in love with someone, is to share every moments, laugh, cry, walk together.to walks of Life two people will have a strong foundation of the relationship.

Maybe we can do that if he goes home. Well, soon, he will. And I'm looking forward to that moment.

hehe well that shows you may really have doubts or are still just trying to know the person you are with at the moment... i'd say for me, text messages does make me think.. its not the text message, but the meaning of the message sent to me... i love quotes.. i like direct quotations to that have meanings.. i give some to my bf and well he does seem to like them too..

Yes, I do have some doubts. But, I'll try to make this work. I know he is a good guy and he's trying really hard. I'm just the one with the problem. And as for "I'm trying to know the person at the moment", Yes, I do. I met him before when I was in high school. He courted me way back then. But after two years, he left. Now, that he has found a way to communicate with me, I still can't figure him out (sometimes).

Hello Mabel, First thing and foremost, you failed to tell us what this message meant to you or how you interpret it that made you doubt your feelings towards someone who is far away from you. In the first place, being far from each other doesn't mean you cannot laugh with him. So it made me think a bit. As for me, this statement simply means, you can not love someone who cannot make you happy and vise versa. Could you imagine a relationship without anything that you could share and laugh with? You would know that you have fallen in love when you find anything funny that you can talk about even if it is not funny at all. Being together gives you all the reason to smile and that something that connects two hearts at once.

For me, it meant, I won't be able to really fall in love with that person if we haven't experienced things together. For me, it means a personal contact; simply being together sharing stories and laughing at the same joke at the same place in the same time. My man and I haven't even seen each other for four years. We have just communicated through text messages and calls. I like him. But, I'm not sure if I love him. That's it.

Hi Mabel! For me, I think being able to know if you love a person is to experience things with him. Loving a person is loving every traits that you see in him/her yet the togetherness makes it easier for a heart to feel the love and laughing with him/her is a part of that. Happy myLotting!

Togetherness makes it easier to feel the love? So, it is still possible to feel it even if your not together? I would love to experience things with him. If only he will be able to go home.
