I really don't get this, why do we always have to hunt down and kill a fallen dictator? Why can't we just let them live the rest of their life humanely – after all, the reason why we want to remove the first place was so that the place they ruled could live in peace. If we go chasing after them at hunting them down and then subjecting them to torture and cruel punishment, aren't we just being the same as them when they were in rule?

The dictators have followers, and they can re-organize and get back into power again. With much more bloodshed. Therefore, when a dictator or a violent ruler tries to hide, even if they are no longer in power, they are tracked down. They can now be punished for the crimes they committed by the country they ruled and harmed. These are not peaceful people; they harmed a great deal of people throughout their lifetime and it will not end just because they are out of the control of the country. They still have power because they still have loyal followers, and that makes them dangerous.

I too am wondering the same thing. To begin with, why is it any of our concerns? Im sure the people in that country will know what to do with him........but then again, they have oil dont they?
If you look at some of our "civilized" head of states, you'll see that sometimes, they are dictators also. So why arent we hunting them down?
I'll say something now that will have you looking up to the sky and wonder what Im thinking but I think its all a show. I still believe Sadam Hussein is alive and living somewhere in California.....same for Osama Bin Laden......but thats me
