Hi there fellow Mylotters.. I really need your help!!! So the 19th August 2011.. I made my escape from a life that may have made me or quite potentially could have broken me.. but either way Im out of it now... Thing is I have sooo mucvh that I need to do in order to be able to live again... 11months ago.. I finished a Unversity degree and was setting out in the world.. then I met someone who I pretty much put that all on hold for.. now Im not there anymore- Its left me homeless, awaiting on jobs and also having to use my Credit Card- which has been unfortunately blocked!!!!! I mean the bank blocked my card because they said I didnt make any minimum payments- how ridiculous..I pay them double EVERY MONTH!!! I have no income at the moment (*as Im awaiting on a job to return my CRB checks*)..but I still manage to pay my Credit Card minimum payments!!! Anyway Guys.. the help I need revolves around getting a place to live.. I mean I have read many discussions here where people have been homeless and to be fair.. I need your advice.. how did you manage to get yourself back on your feet?.. Everywhere I go, all these so called professionals who are about to help, are completely useless!!! Im the kind of person, who strives for success.. and now.. its like Im going backwards rather than forwards.. I have no place to live and this is what is holding me back the most!!! I cant stand it.. drives me crazy sitting here thinking I feel absolutely powerless with my own future.. I have tried applying for places.. but all reply stating they require £800 upfront- I mean.. how do they expect me to do it?.. I have no currebnt employment.. although I have managedf to secure a job- but wont be able to start until clearance checks have been completed.. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Guys.. (",)

Have you tried talking to your parents? I know this isn't the solution you are looking for. However, they may be willing to help you. If nothing else, maybe you could stay there until you get caught up on things. I've been fortunate in life and have never needed assistance from my parents. But I know they help my siblings all the time. Best Wishes!

Yes, I can understand you wanting to get things done quickly. However, I know that you must be getting impatient. Hang in there thing will get better. Best Wishes!

Hi sswallace21.. I have spoken with my Mum.. and in all fairness, I have moved back home for a little while, but all in all I havent really moved back in.. I literally just sleep there.. Its not my home anymore and thats been made pretty clear to me.. I will keep searching and searching til I find my home again, reagrdless of what happens- I hope to post one day that Im 100% happy and stable again.. I have never relied upon no one for help, not even my own Mum.. its just that I cant understand how stupid I have been, Im the one that advises..guides and tells people where they go wrong.. now Im self analyzing, self guiding and fighting the world of lies alone.. and in all honesty I know at the end of it all, I will feel a sudden release freedom- I just await for that day..(",)

Hi Vivamir, Oh, I am so sorry for the situation you are in! When I was homeless, it was the beginning of summer and I rented a tent and looked for a place. I was lucky in that I had an income and I was able to find an affordable place by the end of the summer. I would suggest that you go to a homeless shelter for now. I know it's probably not a place you want to be but it is a warm place to sleep. Also they will help you in finding work and getting back on your feet. At least the ones in my area do. I'm sorry that I don't have any great advice, vivamir. I hope someone here as some more helpful words for you. You will be in my thoughts.

I was homeless once. I was with a boyfriend that dumped me and I had left rented home for him.. so when he dumped me I had no place to go. I lived with a friend for 7 months and then lived by myself for a few years.. but now I live with my daughter and my son in law and I'm quite happy here, because I am needed here. Oh gosh... it would be bad to live off a credit card with no job. It may be a blessing in disguise that it is blocked for now. Maybe you can get that settled after you start working. You have Internet access so you must be staying somewhere, or using a hot spot somewhere or have a computer with an air card. You might ask your friends or maybe a church near you where you might be able to live while you are getting on your feet. Trying to rent or lease right now would be kind of hard because they do credit checks and require money upfront as a deposit. When I lived by myself it was in a basement apartment of my pastor's dad's house.. I loved it there. I paid $500 a month and there was no deposit or anything.. so you may be able to ask around and find people who can help you or at least lead you to an opportunity to improve your life.
