Why do you hold your pee?

Haha! That's quite amusing! As for me, I hold my pee whenever I am traveling on a public vehicle. Long travels such as those will not permit me to go out and pee as the money charged is a concern if I push through my peeing session and get down the vehicle. I also, hold my urination whenever I am in the middle of an important matter. But yes, one should not hold it for too long as kidney stones may develop which can really cause complications to our health. So you better transfer your computer in the bathroom and take a seat on the toilet while myLotting.

Hahaha! You are so funny! Well, yeah, I've experienced this many times especially in situations like I'm on a moving bus when I don't have any choice but to wait till I reach my destination or situations when I intentionally hold my pee because I'm lazy to go to toilet as long as I can take it. Haha. I've gone crazy by reading your post! Nice one! :)

lol for me, its either watching a tv show or reading. i dont want to stop! (good thing there are commercials!!)

A couple of reasons I might hold it in is because 1) I hate using public bathrooms, and 2) I'm sleeping! LOL School was another reason. Back when I went, we (the students) were only allowed to go during recess and lunch. Oh, we were allowed to ask permission from the teacher, if we really had to go, but weren't supposed to do it too often (the teacher would get suspicious otherwise ). So it kind of trained me to hold it in. Plus, as I said before, I hate using public bathrooms anyway, so I always try to hold it in whenever I'm out and about! LOL Happy mylotting!

Before my pee forced itself out and wet my pants I have to release it immediately. The only reason I hold my pee is when I am behind the wheel.

I am very susceptible to urinary tract infections so holding it is never an option.

Hi secretbear, although I know holding our pee is not a good thing and if doing so often would cause trouble to our health. I still would do so in certain situation which cannot help but yet have to tolerate. This usually would happen sometimes when travelling in a long journey express bus or watching movie in cinema I try not to take only a little drink or visit the toilet before boarding the public transport. You know it would be quite embarrassed to ask the driver to do me a favor to have extra pause The same awful situation would occur as well if I have to pass several or many seats I then can reach the aisle and repeat the same thing again after back from the washroom. I would feel uneasy to disturb and divert others from watching the script Happy posting!

Mainly it's like you said...I get engrossed with what I'm doing on the computer or some other activity that I want to complete without interruption. I don't think it's such a bad thing, controlling our bodily functions that is. The time may well come when we are not able to so using those muscles is a good thing.

I dun really hold my pee, or should i say it's become a habit? haha :D In the past, i'm one who doesn't drink alot of water, and it's of no surprise that i'm visiting it once to twice a day.. lol :D BUt now, with more water intake, i have the my urge more often, even twice in an hour, full blast.. lol =D With that, i'm not able to hold even though i may be doing something important.. haha

I do agree with you that holding our pee is not good for health. As much as possible, I do not hold my pee and usually go to the restroom to relieve myself. There are however cases when circumstances do not let me do so. That is when I am in a middle of my class. As you can see, I conduct training programs and usually in times like this, I hold my pee up until time for break.

when i am watching a very nice movie that you cannot pause it. when i am driving along the long and open road.

I hold my pee when i was in my car and haven't reach my destination. That's why, now i always prefer to pee first before i am out from my home. Because once we are out from home, it is not easy to reach for the nearest toilet, especially when we are in the jam. I tried not to hold too long pee because sometimes it will caused my stomach pain when i finally release my pee. In fact, it is not a healthy practice at all. So, try not to hold too long our pee as much as possible...

I know it is not a good habit to hold the pee. However, sometimes due to I am busy at work, so I will try to go to the toilet later. Or sometimes when I am outside, it is not easy for me to find a toilet. So I have to hold the pee. I love China

I just think that it is wrong to hold back the call of nature. On my side, I have to pee when I need to. I stop whatever I'm doing so I can unload the dirty water from my kidneys. I think that there will be an after effect, a negative one, if you keep on holding your pee for other matters that can actually wait.

Busy with work I guess and too lazy to get up from bed in the morning. :D

I don't usually hold my pee when I'm at home, but when I'm out I try to hold it as long as I can until I got home, or if no choice until I find a clean ladies room, I only hold my pee because I don't really want to pee on public toilet because sometimes its dirty.

yes, I have experienced holding my pee whenever I'm busy at work and when i'm watching my favorite tv show. I don't wanna miss a single scenario. But it is really bad to hold your pee. Just like last night, I held my pee because I'm doing my lot. Now, my right side is aching.

What a funny topic, many time i hold my pee, main reason is i am working, i donn't want to waste my time, even for a pee. I say to myself, a little while is ok, work for a minutes more. Of course, Holding pee is not a good habit, i tell myself many time, but when i busy, i do it again.
