ADvantages to kids going back to school after the summer break

So my 3 boys are due to go back to school next week and on the whole the time has gone quite quickly. The good thing about the kids going back is that I don't have to listen to the bickering all day hahaha. I will be able to get the house round again as there won't be all their stuff lying around hahha. I will also be able to go off and have coffee and catch up with my friends!
What were/are the advantages of your kids going back to school?

Mine has left school and university and is now at work. She wants to move out and we want her to go - but in a loving caring way of course! Advantages - child and her friends hanging around all day being hormonal and eating everything! Disadvantages - er..... er..... er.... I'll get back to you.... LOL.

Years ago I enjoyed when my kids went back to school. I could go shopping without them asking for something. I had my time for just me. I also enjoyed cooking up goodies to give them when they got home. I could get back to my sewing and quilting, etc. I would get back to my 4-H Volunteering at the County Office Building, which I really enjoyed.
But, I also looked forward to them coming home from school.

Unfortunately as soon as my kids get in from school it is off out again for gymnastics, swimming or football. That is another thing I am not looking forward to restarting when the kids are back at school as we only get the whole of Saturdays off to spend together! Will have to make the most of it.

My kids had homework, plus farm chores, cheer leading and pom pon squads, band and marching band practices, track, basketball and 4-H meetings to attend, the were kept busy too. They grew up to be wonderful responsible adults. The weekend was also our time to spend with them sometimes or visit relatives. Enjoy. Hugs

Certainly in my area the advantage of kids going back to school is that the noise level will be greatly reduced! It has been so noisy in neighbouring gardens with the kids out playing, another reason I hate the Summers and long drawn out evenings! There will also be less barbecues during the day and children will be going to bed earlier, meaning the night times will be peaceful again. The shops are also more bearable during the holidays our high street is full of kids mucking around and hanging around with nothing better to do. at least school keeps them off the street ha!
