Could somebody explain me please, why some people that have less activity than others have a star with a higher number, and people that have a very high number in mylot have a star with a low number. What is the meaning of a blue 10 star, a yellow 8 star, a gray 7 star? please I would really appreciate your help here. Thanks.

Rosa: Please read the following links: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx briefly: User rating shows the level of a user's activity on myLot. For example, a user with a rating of 1,500 has been more active on myLot than a user with a rating of 500. The rating really tells you nothing about the quality of the user's activity or how the user is perceived by the myLot community. Stars rating maximum number 10. If you keep the cursor on the star you will get mylot reputation 95/100. There are people having 99/100 also. 96 and above it given 10 star. There are some people who are more active but with lesser star due to reputation marking given by others for them. Your getting this much rating within 268 shows that you know the way mylot forum works and you have built good reputation.

rosa-- Sometimes we do get our seniors who talk not softly. I just listen and take it that is all. If we worry we cannot run. At the same time you have aunties like Hatley aunty -- her message appears slightly not pleasant but she conveys her blessings only to us. Yes. U see her second response she has made it sweet. You will enjoy mylotting provided you do not take comments very seriously to an extent of affecting sleep. yes. that is not needed. enjoy mylotting and make a few cents.

Thanks my friend Ravisivan you gave a very clear response and I really appreciate that you took your time to give me as good details, that I didn't know. Now I really understand what is going on with the star and the numbers. I don't understand why some friends of mylotter response as rude, because I think that this is the purpose of my lot, share information, so I didn't the reasons of the stars, and it was in my mind, so I decided to ask my friends but I never thought that some of mylotter would react as angry and rude with me. Thanks again Ravisian have a great mylotter day!

the no inside the star or the color of the star depends on the reputation you have in mylot.. it's totally depends on the DRS system that is discussion rating system provided by Mylot you can check it at the mylot FAQ section...thereis an explanation of the rating system..you can see here that there is a option to rate a discussion on mylot.. you can rate one +ve or -ve and that effect the reputation.. for details check it here .. http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx and the activity is decided by the no beside the star...that means I am more active than you as I have more than 680 and where you have only 269..

rosa the more pluses people get th higher the rating and reputation get, regardless of how active or inactive so the person with a blue star has got mostly pluses from all of his or hber fellow my lotters while the one with the higher activity for some reason has not been rated as highly perhaps he or she made a bunch of lame posts or he or she has had some insulting remarks thrown at others, for whatever reason other mylotters have not given the gray star person as many pluses. the more pluses you get the higher your rep will get no matter how active or inactive you are. those are two different things.I have been here longer and have more time so am more active and a lot of friends must have plused me as I am at 93 percent out of a hundred and red star.again rosa as I suggest to all new and old comers do read the information as asking us sometimesgets you wrong information from others just as new who only guess as they also did not bother to the read the information, honestly you do need to read it,I would not waste my time tell

Beautiful explanation Marinerpulak, thanks and yes I always see the rate = and - and I use it but I don't understand how people with 120 activities have a blue 10 star and people with 5890 have a 7 gray star. And with all the respect that you desire for taking your time to respond my discussion and understand this theme of the rating, I would like to tell you that is not that I am less active than you is that you have nine months here and I have six weeks here, so you have to have more activity than me. :). Thanks Marinerpilak and Surekharathi.

First, I imagine you are going to get some responses that are rude. But don't worry about those. Secondly, I think it talks about the stars in the guidelines or FAQS of this site.

So you haven't read the FAQ's and guidelines yet! Nor do you use the mylot search which would show you all the previous people who asked that question. You need to help yourself!!! Mylot really is a lot more enjoyable when you know how to use it properly.
