Changing provider is not a smart thing to do?

Since I had 7 bad years with my latest provider I decided to change to an other one.
Ofcourse I hope my internet, tv and phone connection will be better and faster.
The new provider should take over last Thursday. Instead there was nothing to take over.
I never received the box (modem etc) and the company mixed up my name and phonenumber with the address of someone else. The only thing I have now is an account that says everything is delivered and a bill on name + address of the other people.
Am I the only one with these kind of problems and is it better to stay with the old provider once connected even if this means your tv is daily frozen and your internet is very slow?

This is poor service. You shoul try calling the service provides again and notify them that you didn't receive the modem. If they tell you it's not possible to send it again, you should let the authorities know about this.

I called them but they can't help me.
Yesterday I was called first by a man and he said: it's such a mess I don't know what to do. He also told my my phonenumber is probably connected now at the other address.
Later I was called by a woman and she said: it's such a mess I will try to find out but I don't know where it ends. She doesn't know what happend to my phonenumber.

It's obvious they got your phone number mixed up with someone else. You have to clear that out with both the other addressee and the network provider.

They said I will have internet at Sepg. 27. They made a new contract but the conditions are not the same (this is the expensive one). So I have to contact them again. The lady said she will call me back at Oct. 3rd. She also said she wrote a claim and if the contract is not the same they can give me back the money I have to pay more now. But of course I have to contact them for that again. :-(
I am getting tired of it. By now we are used to have no tv etc anymore perhaps I better leave it that way and save me the money.

You are not the only one Kitty i think these people think they are too smart for us.
When i first installed my internet they told me i will have it in less than 20 days , after i signed the contract they told me i have to wait 30-90 days and they came after 70 days or so.They connected me to internet , my computer didn`t worked so they told me i should buy a new LAN card because the one i have it`s broken,I bought a new one ,of course the internet didn`t worked so i called their super fast customer service and they came back after a week and surprise !There was nothing wrong with my LAN card but the guy who came first forgot to connect my cable to the big box we had in the building :D

May I ask if they payed for the new LAN card that you had to buy?
I already spent a lot of money calling them. Now they ask me to call them again, so I keep emailing.
I already told that lady at the phone since I don't have tv, phone and internet I have to use a prepaid phone. This means 10 cent/min plus extra costs because you use your mobile phone.
first I had an offer paying the first months 11 euro less, now it's only for the first 3 months. I won't agree with that either.
Also I don't feel that happy to be without all for 1 month longer not to forget to mention the fact that probably someone else has my phonenumber now. I wonder if these people are aware of that.

WakeUpKitty,
In the first place, how did your new service provider make such a mistake with your address?
I hope you will speak to the customer service department at your soonest convenience to sort this mistake out and I am sure they can easily rectify the fault. And, if the mistake is from their end, they can also do something to the bill amount which you've not used the service.
I don't think your decision is wrong and that this service provider would like to be a candidate for bad reputation and adverse publicity.

WakeUpKitty,
I am just at a loss for words with what you've gone through with your current service provider.
I suggest that you correspond with the management of the company and c.c. a copy of the correspondence to the relevant authorities that licenses these internet providers to add weight to your complaint.
I really hope that your case could be resolved soon.

Email 1: you received your modem it all will be activated August 25. The first 6 months you pay 11 euro less.
Email 2: thanks for your order it all will be activated August 25.
Email 3: Thanks for your order. We will take over at September 27, the first 3 months you pay 11 euro less.
Email 4: We received your order. We will take over at September 27, the modem will be sent to you 3 days earlier. If you don't receive anything call us. If you need help call us.
Email 5: Your case is so complicated I can't help you. Please call us.
I wonder how many different people are working at this case.

I keep mailing etc.. seems to be a big mess since many people call me now and they don't seem to know about each other. Let's wait and see how it will look like in 2 months time. A claim is already sent and some complaints.
