Motto: " No matter how much you eat, your grandmother will not believe you are not hungry. "
I allmost not knew my grandparents.
On mother side, mother's mother died many years before I was born; my mother's father I have "encountred" up to my age of 6 or 7. He died and I hardly remember where is his grave ...
On father side, my father's father died also when I was very young, probably one year or two before the other grandfather of mine to passed away. I hardly remember him.
So all I had left was my grandmother - mother of my father. She was not a great grandmother but .. wtf, nobody's perfect.
But I do remember that - more or less - the motto above was a valid sentence, she usually try her best to supply food and or at least sweets .. As matter of facts, there were me and another 2 cousins and those 2 cousins were living in same house with her. So I was a special guest and maybe she - grandmother - was many times trying to hide things from those 2 cousins which were on her house all day long ...
However, the motto just put a nostalgic light on grandparents.
And we should maybe appreciate them more - until they are stil here, with us ..

oh my goodness! what IS the deal with that? grandparents, especially grandmothers, are like feeders! The dinner they supply you with is 3 times the size of your standard dinner.. sorry, ANYONES standard dinner! .. then you HAVE to have desert, usually something high in sugar and dosed with custard..
and for after dinner? please enjoy this pint of full fat coke, and this little glass sweet dish [there is ALWAYS a little glass sweet dish] full of sweeties to gorge yourself until your heart is content.
and then, when it's time to leave, let us fill your mother and father in on just what a big eater you are.. but please, please, don't make them aware of the large appetite for sweets and chocolate, just leave it as big eater, to allow my mother to think i will benefit from that extra two helpings of broccoli she gives me tomorrow evening for dinner, to accomodate for me being such a "big eater" .. lol!

Yes of course grandparents are always very caring and loving. They love their grand children more than their own children. They are also very possessive about their grand children. They always try to get all the things which their grand children need from food, sweets or toys anything and if their grand children live away from them then wen they meet they never leave a chance to express their love towards them.
