Unexpected house guests, should they call before visiting?

So today I was in the middle of cleaning the back room when I heard someone knocking at the door. I was deep into my cleaning, listening to music and just really into the flow. I was not wearing my best clothes (remember I am cleaning) and I haven't showered at this point. I open the door to the unexpected visitor and lost my total flow of things. This got me to thinking, how do you feel about the random, unexpected house guest? Do you find it rude not to get a call before they visit?

Hello taosmommy,
I usually tell people to call me if they decide to come to my house but sometimes they don't listen, I remember my hair was all messy and I was wearing my pajamas which had sponge bob the cartoon on it lol and my friend came by it was so embarrassing.

I always call before I stop by. I would prefer to know ahead of time if someone were to visit me but sometimes I do like surprises and don't mind if someone stops by unexpectedly. Usually when I am home I am not doing anything so important that I would be annoyed because of a visit.
