As a tablet user, I know from first-hand experience that this is in no way true. I treat my tablet instead as a complementary device to my laptop. Unless tablets can become as powerful and as productive as a laptop or a desktop, then the PC is not dead. I'd say it just evolved. What do you think, peeps?

A tablet is not an alternative to PC at least for now. You can use the enormous computing power of your pc or laptop to convert, edit video files. You play high end games on pc. These are the pros of Laptop/PC.
But on the other hand tablets give a better internet surfing experience especially on the go.
So for now they are different things as they are used for different purposes. But I guess that in future the gap will be bridged.
Have a nice day!

Personally, I think more of tablets as a "play thing gadget" rather than a replacement for PC/Laptop.
