All Alone

Since the first day of school, back in August, I have had the house pretty much to myself during the day. I enjoy the quiet and I can get a lot done. But, I also miss everyone. My oldest is in college, so he is home a lot now. I get about three hours of alone time everyday. It's not much, but it's good.

Your kids are at school, and your husband is not at home. Now you are all alone in your house. You might feel at easy now, you don't have to deal with anything, you can just be yourself.

I frequently have time without my boyfriend. The cats keep me entertained, though. They "help" me do household chores and type. If I had children, they would often be with me, since I plan to home school. I want to spend time with my children, and I want for them to be well educated. However, we would still have time apart, since I plan for them to be involved in a number of activities (Girl Scouts, dance, 4-H, religious activities through church and temple, youth sports, volunteering... Basically, whatever appeals to them, is within our budget, and possible with their schedules...). I don't feel an overwhelming need for time by myself, though. I hope that the job interview went well for your husband.

I am alone a great deal of the time, as it is just my boyfriend and I. He does have a lot of time at home with me, but I go get lots of hours all by myself. There are days I love it because I like the space, but then sometimes it is sad because it can be many days on in. I can't say I get use to it, but it is nice from time to time to be alone and catch up on things where no one interrupts.

Hello Ladym, I have always been out of the house for work and I never wanted staying alone at home. It's the mere fact that I am indeed alone. I don't get home before my sleeping time. Hmm...I guess I now understand my mom better. When we were younger, all of us go to school and our father goes to work everyday. My mom used cling on to our pet dogs so much that she almost treated them as children like us. It's not that she's crazy but she was telling us that the boredom is making her go crazy. Maybe it is a very miserable feeling you have when you were alone in there.

I've never only myself a month...just several days. My father went out for working ,my mother went to travel.. that days only by myself.. cooking alone ,watch TV alone ,feel so lonely. Can you stay with your dad an mom?

The only time I have the house alone anymore is when I send hubby out to do the errands so I can write. He will work on polishing the cars, though because he really enjoys our Dri WashNGuard and he sells it so he wants the cars to be well cared for. I sure hope the interview goes well for your husband. School started about ten days ago here.

I would say I have not had a house to myself in 34 years lol, that is how old my son is and he still lives at home.

Oh my, it has been so long I can't remember..since my oldest son moved in over a year ago, it is rare that I have the house all to myself..But I think everyone went somewhere a couple weeks ago, but I was alone for only a couple hours, not enough to really enjoy it..lol

I had the house to myself for a little while. My two older kids were in school and my youngest went to do errands for a few hours so I had the house to myself for about 3 hours. It was nice and quiet. Except for the dog that follows me everywhere. I guess I was not totally alone, with the dog around. . Enjoy your quiet time.

Well that doesnt usually happen to much unless i get off on a friday or monday because work has been slow and then sometimes ill stay at my house with my dog all my myself for sometime unless i sleep over the boyfriends house or the boyfriend sleeps over with us. Most of the time i am not home by myself but when i am i am really bored and sometimes can watch shows i havent watched that i did record and i also can get on mylot and have more time on here and even start a new article that i have been wanting to do.

Never had the house all by myself really! Because when both of my parents go to work, I still have a little sister to babysit while the rest go to school.. Our house is always noisy! I wonder how it feels when its quite!

It is holiday for four days and I am happy my husband will be home. I am always alone at home when he goes to work. My inlaws are on vacation too. When he is working, he leaves early in the morning and comes home for dinner.

There have been many times when i have been all alone in the house. So whats the big deal.
