Have you ever asked, longed, wished, wanted something or someone and to you surprise you are not able to get it or have it? Have you ever longed for a person a spouse maybe, and you set up for standards and just to your surprise the one you loved is not qualified? Have you ever met someone you don't wanted to be your neighbor but it turned out to be like that? Have you ever been spoiled by something that is not given and do you act so bad about it? have you ever accepted what is GIVEN and Thank God about it and not allowing the NOT GIVEN to spoil it? Us people do not have satisfaction, we have to admit it, we always look for what is not given to us. I have read a book saying "Let not our Longing slay the appetite of our Living" Us people many times SPOIL what is GIVEN to us by God because we always LONG for what is NOT GIVEN to us. It is just late when we realize that we often SLAY the appetite of our Living because of our CARELESS LOnging... I remember a story of a couple the woman sets a standard for a man she will mary someday, and found it feeling he fits in her standard not perfect 100% but 80% but she ignored it, the marriage came and they're happy and then got busy then she came to meet a man who has t he 20% of her standard, she fell for him and then left the man with the 80%, then she realized in the end she got it spoiled and she ruined her happiness because of the 20% she always longed for... Not a new story right?...God is not giving us all we wanted in life, He just give us what we will need and what is enough...what we have now is a gift from Him that we should be thankful for,if He did not gave us what we longed for then it is not for us and He has a reason. He knows what he is doing. A business man who owns an airport and a simple man were talking the simple who ate ice cream while they talk said to the owner of the airport "You're life is very luck and blessed you have an airport, and so many business and has this and that, the Owner said to the simple man, You're much luckier and blessed!" the simple man was stopped and stared the business man, and asked "Why, I don't have anything, I always longed for what you have in life I am not blessed, he said... The businessman answered, "No you are lucky, you can have as much of the ice cream you are eating now, I always longed to eat a scoop of that, but I can't once I tried I will die..." We may not have all the things we longed for in life, but there are simple things we are enjoying today and that is the gift he have received, let us not spoil what is given and try to sweep and not to spoil our live in what is not given..
