Perhaps the answer to boredom is 'anything goes'.:-) you do the things as it happens without planning, scrutiny, examination etc. Maybe that would make life more exciting? Unpredictable! What do you think guys?

I like a little bit of unpredictability. But if I have no schedule I won't tend to get out of bed on time and be productive. Most days I sleep with an alarm so I always get up to start my day. It also helps keep me on track with things like going to the gym which are good for me but I don't always want to do. Of course, my life may be a little bit different because I'm disabled and that means you have to plan if you want do most things. I do like to imagine a day when such planning won't be necessary because everything will be accessible as a matter of course.

planned things sometimes are boring for me. Unpredictability is quite thrilling and exciting. Its good that you can manage your time according to how you want it to be. It is always good to plan but I come to a point that I tired of planning. That's why I want some unplanned things to happen. Sometimes, when things are planned there is always a good result and you can even have a plan b in case there might be some changes. I think that one is exciting.

There is so much to discover, so much to learn, so much to understand... can one lifetime be enough for that? I think not!
I have never been bored in life, and I am more than fifty years old. I try and figure out things when I am in a seemingly endless queue, or am stuck in a situation that I can't get out of....
Even doing routine things, one learns something new, for each moment in life is different from the next - even if one is in an enclosed room with all lights and senses shut out. Every single instant ones mind is thinking something else, there are different processes that are being carried out in one's body, the structure that is enclosing one.......
Boredom is the state of mind and the circumstances, I think.....
No offense intended!

I agree when you said that boredom is a state of the mind especially when it is not doing a challenging or innovative work.
It's okay to have typographical errors.:-D There is no way to correct right after you have posted it but to type a corrected one.:-) I've had it several times . but sometimes i just leave it that way.:-D

I think so. Let it go with the flow. I can't control anything that might happen, probably unexpectedly. I would say, we can plan everything in advance, but we can't predict it at any time what will happen. So, the best thing we can just do what we can to control it.

Randomness can really eliminate boredom. I'm a very unpredictable person and i can really be random. That's why my friends told me i'm so different and that's why they like me. They always think that i'm such a fun person to be with.
But when i'm alone, i do get bored. Nowadays i'm getting bored with my daily schedule and that's why i'm staying away from mylot. Not because mylot is not cheering me up. I just need to find peace and solace. When i'm in this situation, i couldn't be random at all.

I'm not sure I completely understand your question, but I think you are asking if life might be more fun if you allow yourself to leave your regular routine and spontaneously do something just because you want to do it. Or are you suggesting not having a schedule at all and just taking each day as it comes and doing what seems right for that day?
I live my life somewhere between these two. Since I am self-employed, my days allow for some flexibility, but there are still some things I have to do, some will take longer on some days than others. When my customers place orders, they expect me to ship them as soon as possible, not take a couple of days off to go to the beach or on a holiday. If I am not dependable, I will lose good customers who depend on me. On a day when I'm not busy, I can do more of what I want, but even then I fill that time with other things on my list.
People who have jobs outside the home don't have this kind of flexibility, so maybe it will be harder to change the routine. But people who work outside the home may not be bored by sitting home deciding what to do.

You get my message right.:-)
I just want to live my life one day at a time. SO that I will have more time to appreciate the beauty of it.
I like the way you are doing with your life. No rush, no pressures but happy and contented i guess. How I wish I could have it the way you are.
