I would definatly buy her some because I bet she looks real cute in them but I don't think it should be her whole wardrob. What is your husband reason for not buying dress?

Well that is very true, if you want to keep buying her dresses through maybe you should just buy them in different sizes

Hi Biach, I had 4 daughters and I so know the draw to buy all the pretty little dresses and shoes and all. I remember always wanting to dress them up and fighting the urge to buy them all the cute little outfits. Still, I'd have to say that it is kind of a waste of money. You can spend so much money on clothes that are adorable but they outgrow them so very quickly. I didn't have the money to do that so I shopped yard sales and thrift shops.

Yes there are so many cute dresses for girls that one cannot resist. But in reality one should not buy so many because they grow out of them so fast. I know for my little girl though I did buy several and loved taking pictures in the all the cute outfits. lol

Babies grow fast so it is best to limit your buying of baby dresses. Just make sure you have the basic dresser for each seasons and concentrate on purchasing babies furniture like drawers, chairs and tables.

in my views, buying dresses for infants is impractical because as we all know children at these stages grow fast and those infant dresses will be used for only a short time....so you can just buy more dresses in the future when your daughter is older...

Hello Biach17, How old is your daughter? Yes, i think your husband is right. You should not buy plenty of clothes for baby because they grow very fast at this stage or maybe buy a little bit bigger size so it will last long or the stretchy ones. Usually at the age of 12 months they triple their birth weight and birth length increases by 50%. i know its very nice to look at small dresses but soon you will just be hiding them in your closet.

Hello biach and welcome to myLot. Congratulations on your baby. She is a cutie. As she is only four months old She will be growing very fast. She will grow very fast for at least the next year. So buying very many dresses at this time she will almost grow out of them as soon as you get them home. I would get the dresses at thrift stores if you have them in your country.

Kids grow fast. Today’s dress that fits the kid and makes the baby look like a cherub, will be a misfit tomorrow. Buy them a reasonable number of dresses which are cute and less expensive.

I think that you should buy whatever you want for your daughter. It is so fun to dress little girls. Whatever she grows out of you can always resale, and will be able to especially if the outfits are cute. But you may want to hold onto a few items just for your own memories sake. I want to sell some of my daughter's old stuff, but I cannot bear to sell all of it.

HI,biach, baby grows fast,i don't think it's wise to buy a baby girl too much dresses.Maybe she even doesn't have the chance to wear it,bcz the size can't catch the speed of baby growth.I agree ur husband's opinion.Save some money for future, there will need more money when ur little baby girl grow up.Have a nice day.

They tend to grow fast that the dress you bought will not fit them anymore in just a couple of weeks/months. Just buy what you need is my advice.

Hi biach17! I'm a mother of two adorable daughters and I have been in your shoes two times. Its really hard to resist buying cute outfits for our little darlings and I maded the mistake the first time I became a mom, buying not only dresses but other things that they will outgrow fast, believe me if you buy one item per week your baby will only be able to use it once or twice and some will not be worn at all. With my second daughter I tried to hold back to those "temptations" and its a good thing that I was able to keep most of the clothes & toys so she was able to pass them on to my second born. Just buy the necessities specially those your daughter can use on a daily basis like home clothes and if you have relatives who are willing to give you items welcome hand-me-downs. Your husband have a point and you ca use the money elsewhere or save it for your daughter's future. Have a nice day!
