My 1 year old kid has been having tantrums lately..and he does it late at night. Its his bed time and he doesn't wanna sleep even if his sleepy already, all he wants to do is watch cartoons in our computer.
I'm confuse if I should just give in and let him do what he wants for him to stop crying...or should I be firm with what I want? I don't want him to grow up to be a spoiled brat...but the thing that confuses me is that, is it the right age to discipline him about things like this? Is it too early? Or is it just right?
Help pls..

he's too young so it is still too early to say he's going to be a brat.
you should start to discipline him as early as you can.
you don't have to wait till he grows older when he is a little powerful to do against your will.
i believe it's much easier to handle tantrum of a young child and is a normal person.
than a child who needs special attention and is already a grown-up like the one we have. check this out: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2573334.aspx

There is no such thing as too early in imposing rules among children and disciplining them. If you bend your own rules, they will never learn to follow it. Be firm. Once a child, no matter how young that they can never win you with their charms or their fretting, they will learn to respect the rules.

u shud not give much attention to a child who has tantrum. u can just ignore at times so it will not spoil them.

I think 1 years old is a little young. I haven't thought of my kid not going to bed because of cartoons, I didn't have this problem until mine was three. I think you should let him be and allow him to watch cartoons. Soon enough he will get tired and go to bed. I would start disciplining him in a year or two to make sure he doesn't think that he can overpower you.
