Thank God it's Pay Day!

I am always on the seventh heaven every 15th day and 31st day of the month. That is the only dates that workers are extremely happy. But sad to say, I have many bills to pay and I only have a little money left. I hate myself for having so many debts. Why is it so hard to save money? I really have a hard time controlling myself from overspending. Are you happy every pay day? or feel bad because you too have many bills to pay? Good day everyone!

I'm not employed, so I don't have any paydays except from Squidoo and Zazzle, and not always from them. For me, it's payday wheneveer a customer sends a check to pay and invoice, and sometimes they don't pay, or pay on time. One school is 30 days overdue paying me $800.00. They say they would mail it almost two weeks ago, but I don't have it yet. I will probably have to call again tomorrow and keep after them. But never fear. The bills always reach me on time. It is very hard to pay them on time when people don't pay me on time. Our other payday is when the tenants pay their rents. Three of them haven't paid all they owe. So payday is late there, too, but the bills are never late coming. We spend as little as we can. We had to go out of town twice in three weeks and spend money on gasoline and motels, but it was important. Now we are paying the credit card bills for that. We rarely travel or go out, and we never go anywhere expensive to eat out -- if and when we do eat out, which isn't very often. I hardly ever buy clothes, either. So I'm not sure what else I can cut back on. I will be very happy when our tenants pay their rent and my customers pay me. I have to pay the vendors for the things I buy to ship to them, and when they don't pay me, it is very awkward.

I agree with you whole heatedly bagarad! I always try to have more than one stream of income coming into my household also in case one fails the others are there to try to lighten the burden of the incoming bills. I run a offline business that picks up more in the winter months due to it being season here in FL where I live. In this business it is feast or famine, and believe it is just that. When the snow birds go back up north in the spring you had better hope you worked enough to keep you afloat for the following months until they return for winter. In many cases some emergency comes along that you did not plan for and you have to use money that you had not planned on using, so that is why I always try to have more than one stream for my income. Paydays are not weekly or bi-weekly, they could be daily or even monthly all depending on what you have contracted with your clients. As you said in your post sometimes you are spending your time trying to get the clients to pay their invoices and only getting a run around. When people do not pay on time that makes us late on our bills which affects our credit rating. That is the problem with working for ourselves.

Not yet pay day for me. Our pay dates are set on the 6th and 21st of each month. Since our salaries go straight to our atm cards, they tend to avoid the long lines on atm machines for their employees. Also, it gives our accounting department enough time to compute for the salary cut-off.

Yes, I'm always looking forward to it. But money is just so easy to be gone. Almost all my salary I've given it to my parents and nothing left with me is just little amount for my personal needs. Well, that's life... At least I can help and still live. God knows what we need.

I love pay day! I'm always looking forward on this date every month. With this I can already buy the things that I wish to have or order the foods that I wish to eat. However, I can't have all of the money that I receive on pay days. I need to allocate some amount of it for my family. To pay some debts and possible expenses. So sometimes I got a headache everytime I budget my salary because I end up having a deficit..ehe..However, I'm still thankful to God for the blessings I receive on pay days.

No matter how many bills I have to pay, it wouldn't make me less excited for pay days to come. I always plan ahead as to how I'm going to spend my money so that I wouldn't get broke till next payday comes.

Of course i am happy at the pay days, but when considering the salary rising very slowly, while the inflation is so serious, which means our money are not so worthy as before, and the life is becoming harder, i feel it is better to tight my belt.

It's really good if it is pay day. I can buy the things i need and pay my bills on time to avoid penalties. On saving scheme, I make it a priority to save a fix amount for savings and allot the remaining for my other needs. I don't go out often so that I can avoid spending. If ever I go out to buy something, I see to it that I buy what i really need. It pays to be disciplined in buying the things I need= SAVINGS. :-)
