Is washing machine is necessary for wash the cloths?

Now in our town no servant is ready for working like cloth washing, cleaning utensils, cleaning floor etc. Because they earn more in village because formers are paid money on daily basis to that servant and here servant is only female not male. In Indian tradition mostly in our community husband not support us in any work because they full time busy in their business. Sometime they have not time for eating meals so we Indian women cant say them to help in any work..
In our family we all are decided to purchase washing machine for clean the cloths. The machine is not more costly we can afford it. When servant is not ready for doing any work then machine is necessary to wash the cloth.
What you think it is true machine is necessary or washing cloth by hand is good.. In your house washing machine is there.

I could not live without my washing machine! and when the children were all young I used to have a drier as well! now I gave up the drier because I don't need it and besides I spend less electricity, so I dry my clothes in the line out side...I only hand wash some delicate items but the rest goes in the washing machine.

We don't have a washing machine in our house. We prefer washing it by hands, mainly because it damages the clothes. I don't like to wash clothes in a washing machine, my dress will look awful after such machine. You can clearly see the dirt on your clothes if washed by hands.

Yes I wash my own colthes since I was in m,y high school , i think 10 years from now..Yes, it damages the color especially if the color of the clothes turned the water into different color, it affects other clothes. I know our own hands makes the clothes more clean and beautiful.. you have not tried washing it in your own hands.?

although i find it more convenient to have washing machine, i still find it better to wash the clothes by hand. with the machine, you cannot tell the machine where the dirt is. but with the hands and our eyes, we can concentrate where the dirt is. in short, it could be cleaner to wash clothes with hands.

You are right but we cannot put our cloth directly on washing machine first we should check where is dirt and use the brush there and then put the cloths in washing machine because without this no dirt is clean. You are right wash cloths by hand is good but now in busy schedule machine is also good. thanks to share your view.

I guess almost every home have their own washing machine today.It is more convenient to use washing machine if you have other things in line to do.Beside washing clothes by hand is too tiring. Also some servants in our place before accepting a job to work for a family, usually asked if the family have washing machine. If none they will asked for a higher pay because hand washing of clothes will take more time so they spend more hours doing the job.

Yes, you can do other things while waiting for the washing machine to finish it's task. So there's no idle hours wasted if you have lots of works in line.

Hi dear friend,
Yes here in my city most own their own washing machine and or can go to a place where they pay and use the facility to do so. It is not easy to wash clothes here by hand because some of us do not have a place to hang them here in the city for them to dry. So it is quite necessary around here, but I suppose those that cannot afford them, resort to do so by hand.
Sadly it is a lot of time and work for them to be able to do so by hand, but if they cannot afford to own their own and or go to the laundry mat then I suppose they must do so by hand.

I live in a building with several apartments here. I have five rooms and my apartment is very small. There is no place to hang them outside for them to dry. So it is best to use washing machine and dryer to get the clothes washed.

I know for a fact that hand wash is better than machine wash but really tiring. Washing machine can do your job faster and are much efficient. For clothes that have stained or are very dirty and jeans I suggest hand wash as for the rest, washing machine will do.

Although washing is affordable i personally prefer washing the clothes with hand. I feel the clothes are more clean than by washing in the washing machine. White clothes are washed better by hand than by the machine. But at times when there is too much job to be done at home i use the washing machine. So it is a matter of one'preference and affordability. Happy mylotting.

I have always had a washing machine and I think it is great. I also have a drier. It saves time and gets it done fast, and the drier is great also. With washing the clothes in a washing machine, you have more time to do other chores.

I think washing cloth's with hands is more good than using washing mechines,
but i in this modern world,time have more value.,and i this aspects wash mechines a needed and can earn some time.,
and washing in hands will is also a good option mainly because the method is much useful to reduce dirts much more than washing machines..,and its all about there personal task,i'm no one to argue them.

I can't live without my washing machine. I badly need it for washing heavy pieces of clothes especially when they are too dirty. It also helps me to save some time to work. While I'm doing the laundry, I can also cook our food or clean the house. It's a big no for me to wash using my hands because it is easily irritated with detergents. Thank you that those washing machines were invented.

Yes, we have a washing machine here in our house. It has become necessary for a large household to have a washing machine because it's just so difficult to wash all the clothes just by hand. Especially if there's only one person washing all the dirty clothes. If there is no washing machine, it's okay to wash the clothes if all members of the family take turns in washing the clothes.
Here in our house, I pay someone to wash my clothes and that's washing by hands. My brother wash his clothes using both his hands and washing machine. My sister is the same with my brother. Then my mother's clothes, and my lazy nephew and niece's clothes are washed by our cousin (who lives with us) both by washing machine and hands, too.

Hi surekha, What you say about Indian men and their attitude, it is bound to change when the wife too is working.Both have to contribute towards the household chores since it is not always possible to depend on a maid or household help...However, if one is a stay at home wife then there is no harm in doing all the housework since it is good for us and also keeps us busy.Washing clothes is good for us since it is good exercise for our hands and the entire body.Having or not having a washing machine is a personal choice...

Friend you are right but when a men is businessmen they have no time for taking meals because they are very hardworker and already tired after 12 hours work. Full time shop or business. IF whole house hold work in on one person then machine is good thanks to share your view and sorry for clean bags topic really I not understand fully...

My husband is Indian but every time he has his off day, he helps me do the household chores even if I don't tell my husband what to do, I can see him initiates on cleaning the house, doing the laundry and cooking food for me
, well men are really different from each other .
We do have washing machine at home because it ease out the washing time plus I am pregnant so I needed to relax on such heavy work. I don't have helpers at home and I don't even think of getting one. Recently we also purchase my mother in law her own washing machine so that it can help her ease some work at home although my FIL is such a grumpy one who is not in favor of it, hmm, well anyway wash only in schedule so that it won't be eating too much of your electricity bill.

dear sis,
I wash white clothes with hands before I soak it overnight and then wash with washing machine,and the rest of colored clothes using washing machine.
It's too tiring to wash clothes by hands alone.
I also took some big and heavy beddings to laundry shops for washing,but i wash our pillows myself, because the last time I took it to the laundry shop- the cotton filled was ruined.
Since then, I washed it myself.

We have a washing machine at home as well as a helper or servant to do the laundry. We know how tedious and time consuming doing the laundry is and using a washing machine is very convenient and efficient. Though there are times when doing the laundry by hand is much better, using the machine takes less time and effort and more house chores can be done in a day.

Actually we having washing machine at our home.. But still our clothes got washed manually. By servant. My mom thinks that the washing machine we having is not that good in washing clothes. So we are not using it.. But surely because of this we are thinking to buy new the latest one.
