That could be true. A lot of people are involving themselves into gossiping. I can't think of any reason for this besides them having a boring life. Here at the office there had been a lot of gossips going around and it's really quite annoying to say the least. I don't like hearing gossips about other people. If I wanna know the person, I'd like to use my own perception of who they are, not how people view them. It could be jarring taking advice from someone because you just can't help but think about what they've said regarding the person in question that's why I avoid gossips as much as possible.

I think it is partly true but not all who talks about people have small minds. LOL, usually I can see that to the people who like rumors or gossips but there are others who just really like to talk about other people yet still have substance with what they are talking about.

I think people who talk about other people should be called Psychologists!LOL (jk) But yeah if you mean by people who spread rumors about other people or talk about them in a demeaning way, then certainly we would have to call them as small minded people.

You can't say people little minds just cause of they talk about other. We are social creatures so Its natural that we talk about others. But talking about other negatively to spoil their image is not a good thing, those people who criticize people negatively are small minded or may be called small minded.
