I just so agree that women are good with multi-tasking. I think that's one of the many strength of a woman. (^__^) It's only my opinion but I highly believe that men can do multiple tasks as well just that women are exceptionally better. We can see women everywhere who are juggling multiple tasks at the same time. Top examples of this are the career women and the housewives. You see, there are housewives who don't get helpers to do household chores but even though they have one, they still can manage to do multiple tasks at home and engage into home businesses as well. What are your views about this fellow myLotters? Do you believe that women are better than men in multi-tasking? Any scientific explanations?

Not that I'm against your opinion, I just think that it all depends on the situation. People are able to adapt to situations and since we see mothers do multiple tasks, we probably get this general idea. Men would be able to do the same if placed in the same situation.

choybel (1352) You might be correct about some men, but I would say very few men can handle multitasks as well as women. Of course we may be prejudiced to 'our side' since you are a man and I am a woman.

I know for example last night from cooking dinner i can multi task alot, I started a load of laundry, cleaned up the back porch from my dog during the day since he has a doggy door, cooked dinner and emptied the dishwasher all while dinner was cooking of course. Nothing was put in the oven and everything was on the stove top and on the skillet to cook. So as you know i was having the move the items around that were on the stove top and then in the skillet too. Just something that we all do. Men can do alot too as well but when there at the house they do house repairs and do the lawn work but then thats it, and sometimes i have to ask my boyfriend or my dad to take the trash out because there not paying attention to things that need to be done and most of the time we women have to ask for help with things. I guess its life but i dont know how they are at work as im not around them at work.

Oh I absolutely agree. Women are MUCH better at multi-tasking than men. I think even 'early man' proved that. Cave men had to go out and just focus on hunting. They only had to do one thing at a time. Meanwhile back at the cave, the woman had to cook, clean, watch the kids running around and keep the fire going.

LOL! You know, your suggestion will make my husband jump for joy. Sometimes, it's against his will to go with me to the supermarket but he has no choice but to help me carry those bags. I've learned now, I just need to monitor the items that he puts in the shopping cart! Lol. Thanks for the suggestions!

from my personal experience with women i believe they are better focused than men and are able to handle multitasking in an easy way. i dont have any scientific evidence to back this up. it is just my personal experience talking.

Not so much sure about if it's genetic but yes I agree women are better at multitasking than men. Perhaps because they can focus and concentrate on more than one thing and have better memories. But on the other hand I find necessity is the mother of all inventions and as women have more responsibilities they tend to multitask more and I guess if a man has to take many responsibility he might also prove to be good at multitasking. :)

my wife is also one example of an expert in multi-tasking when it comes to house chores. she can do the cooking while doing the laundry and watching tv and taking care of the babies. at the same time, she takes care of the small business, "sari-sari store". men can also do things like these and i don't believe women are better than men, they are just more patient than men.

Hello Ronadelle, I never really understand as to why men is so hard to be multi-tasker most of the time because we don't have period problems. but I guess that's really some thing for the women. I believe women can do anything there's no doubt about that. but if women can do better at work, maybe you should teach men how to do house chores. i think if both can make a good progress with each other.

I'd like to disagree constructively on the statement that women cannot do better at work. For me, women and men are good on different things but there are women or a lot of women are excellent with their work/career. But I'd also like to agree now that men can also do multiple tasks at the same time. As to what stary said here, it depends upon the situation. Men could also be good at multi-tasking if placed on situations that will need attention all at the same time. You have your own opinion and I welcome it. ;)

Hello Ronadelle, I believe that women are great in multi-tasking rather than men and it is proven. Because women are more dedicated, responsible and hardworking. Most women gain strength from there families and they used them to be strong in doing things that an ordinary woman cannot do. I am happy to be a women and very proud of it.

I have to agree with you because I am one of them. I just have to do everything in the house because I do not have any helpers at home and I also have my own little business as well. I have three dogs to feed and I do that too.

I agree that women are better at multi-tasking than men. But I do feel we have to be careful because sometimes we literally do a lot of things at once.:) We don't want to burn any food, or catch anything on fire while literally running around the house. It is amazing how much we can get done though. My husband always says that I can get things done faster than he can. Without mult-tasking I would get very much done.

I'm guilty of multi-tasking. My boyfriend and I are far apart so when we're online, I'm usually looking at my Facebook and Tumblr while we're talking. My boyfriend doesn't know this but I do that most of the time. Doesn't mean I don't love him anyway. Women have this faculty in their brains that allow them to look at details while understanding the whole. Men just take things as they are and are very direct. Each works well in some situations while some don't. Like A guy will just walk in a buy a pair of pants and leave. Women will have to try on maybe a dozen before buying a perfect pair of pants. This doesn't mean that women are smarter. We all just see things differently.

I believe so also. Nevertheless, that is of a general view. Some men are great multi-taskers. Basically, I guess there are strengths in either sexes.
