Marriage is a serious relationship contract! How is polygyny (one man more than one wife) considered. Is it sinful for man to marry more than one wife and if so why? Again if polygamy (polygyny) is ok, y are there so many hadles. What is the view of governments versus religion?

Religion plays an important role in marriage. Roman Catholic are monogamy type (one man, one wife). While Muslim are polygyny as long as he can support his families. It really depends on religion.

I live in Utah where there is polygamy everywhere. Everyone who isn't Polygamist considers it a sin because in the Bible it says that a man should love ONE woman. It is considered lustful to want more than one woman. There is no reason why one woman couldn't satisfy your every need unless you are using them mainly for reproducing. If you ever visit Utah, you'll see that all of the Polygamists look alike and that's because they're all related. Happy Mylotting!

As for me, personally, I don't really care if a person is polygamous or not. As long as he can support his family and give them all a good life, they can do what they want. But, that's just me. :P
