i need money so badly...

No one can blame you for what you want more is material things. I understand you gidz. Me, myself, also craving for that stuffs. But I was thinking, Am I too selfish? For some needed the most while I needed just those things. Hehe. We may thought we are, but it's us. Diba? Geez! I need more words. lol

Who doesn't wish they could get mone easily. That's why almost everyone on the internet is trying to find a way to earn some extra cash. The problem is most people don't want to work for it. I work hard online and offline but I still don't have a lot of money for those extra things. There is no agreeing or disagreeing with you. Just because you want things doesn't make you greedy, it makes you human. Everyone wants nice things. I want things that are going to make me happy and I am a lot older than you so the things I want aren't the same as you, but just as important to me as those things are to you. I wish I had more money so I could travel more. I would like more money so I could travel to Winnipeg to see my granddaughter, more. I would like more money for nicer clothes. I want more money so I could buy my own house and not have to rent anymore. Maybe we all will get lucky and win a lottery or something. Cheers my friend, Chris

Don't lose heart. All people here on earth are greedy, they just deny it to themselves and what you feel is normal. Its a social norm or some people don't know that they're greedy and nobody's perfect isn't it? We're sinner... If you ask me, I admit that I am greedy because I want to have more money, but not in the material things. I want to have more money for my enrollment fee -- I have seen people like you that is why they're working too hard -- they have already bought a car, they have already bought a house and lot, even bill gates can buy anything he wants, so your not the only one -- trust me -- because what is the purpose of money isn't it? That is why your working because you NEED something either material things or any reason that I don't know... because if people are not greedy, then why they have bought their own celphone and cars -- where did they get those things? Why they have laptops? Why we have computers in our own house??!! Where did they get those things? Of course, we get all of these things from the money we had work for -- and of course, why we are here on myLot.com? Don't tell me, they don't need money at all so don't worry, your not the only one. They too, like you -- they want something, but of course we don't know what is it.

I do need a lot of money. But I shall keep all of my money to buy a lot of properties to increase my income and to keep the value of my money. Wasting money is the most upsetting problem I am concerning. If you think you really need to have a new laptop, of course you should enjoy to have this machine by spending your hardly earned money to own it. But keep in mind that we must always remind ourselves if we do really need this thing or not. If not, do not waste our money to buy unnecessary things.

Hello gidz! I think it's not bad to want things that we really like. But I also do think that wanting something can make us become so greedy like what you said especially when we don't actually need what we want. Need is different from want. But you know, those things that you want to buy are a necessity for me. The laptop has become a necessity nowadays, also the phone. But you can always buy them just that not an iphone4 since you said you don't have money. I'm also hoping that you learn to become happy even owning simple things that help you in your everyday life. :) Cheers!

Hi gidz, I think I disagree. I think if you got all those things that you just listed, you'd still be unhappy and be thinking of more things to want. You are looking for material things to fill a void that you feel for whatever reason. I mean those things are nice and all but they aren't going to make you happy for long, I don't think. If you were to find a way to buy those things when you don't really have money to do so then you would be stressed because you owe money and still have none or you are hungry and can't afford to eat. I don't know. I can't think like that. I just get by and I'm happy each month when I can pay the rent and I still have electricity and internet. I'm ok with my old desk top computer and my 2nd hand furniture. I felt happy when my aunt gave me an old beat up coffee table and I painted it and finished it off with a unique blend of colors that looks so cool all for under 10.00. I feel happy that I can make my home look really cool for next to nothing...just a bit of creativity. I feel happy when I fix a good meal for my daughter or can do something special for her. Material things that are going to make me broke have never been much enticement for me.

I would feel the same way of needing money, but I would not be to greedy over it. I need money to survive and pay every bill and expense that I need to catch up before any bill's deadline. I would find myself feeling guilty of not having money to pay monthly bills and buying things that I need and want. I would envy those of are totally wealthy and robbing the middle-class and low-income families to make themselves super rich. The wealthy people are just totally greedy over money and want to see poor people homeless. This greediness is just extreme pride that should be torture among these wealthy people who refuse to help people who are financially in need through these difficult, economic times.

Its ok to want thing but when you have money you need to buy needed things first before buying things you want.

You don't have to feel bad about wanting things. We all want something and most of us have at least one material thing which we desire that we don't have. I don't think it is a good idea to look to those things for your happiness because when you don't have them, you are miserable. I believe you have to look within yourself to be happy. Material things may enhance your happy feelings but you should be able to be content even if you don't get everything you want.

I'll throw my two cents in here. First off, martial things do not equal happiness. Are they nice to have? Yes. But, true happiness comes from with you. If you need things to make you happy I think you should reevaluate yourself. Look, I love computers and phones and cars myself, but I do have to live within my means. If the opportunity comes up where I can but an iPad, then i will. But until then I am happy just the same. I have a wonderful girl and great children, what more can I ask for?

Well I don't have a violin because I don't play violin, but my niece have one see that it is the reason of her happiness,I an Iphone4, I have a new laptop, but those things doesn't make me happy. You may be sure that soon I don't know when you will have that, then you will feel empty, and wishing to have the new Iphone4 or the lapto that can fly, lol,you know why? because if we become slave of the materials thing you will be slavery for ever, because always will be something new that you will want to try. So don't don't give too much importance to those things give importance to the things that you can't buy, at the end those are the ones that have more value.

I also have a wish list for many things but I don't think I would be as happy with the items if I jsut got the money for them rather than having to work hard to get the money to pay for each thing, slowly.

As a human being we have a set of desires . I also want to make money easily But my needs are different from your needs . Actually we always think about ourselves according to others point of view . We always try to do socially accepted behavior to get praise from others. But in my opinion we should love ourselves . If you want to be happy, there is nothing wrong, please go ahead but injustice should not be happened . When you are angry you share anger .When you are happy you share happiness. We can share only that which we have, we can not share that which we don't have . So don't worry be happy.

I wouldn't say that you were greedy because many people want various things and if they are available and you can afford them why not. I know that I have wanted many things during my life. Some I managed to have, but others I couldn't afford them, so I adapted. I don't think that any material things make you happy permanently. They may bring happiness for a while, but because of the way our mind's are constructed, we soon get used to having them and want something more. As a Zen practitioner I am very aware of what the Buddha said.. He said that desire is the root of all suffering. It did not mean that we should stop having material things, but that if we desired them, we would be training our minds to desire more and more. I practice meditation and this helps me a great deal to be focused on the moment of now, and I find it very liberating to not crave or desire things.. well not too much anyway.. _Derek

I prefer to have the necessities of life paid for before i get to crazy with the i wants. Needs are much more important than the wants...if you'r starving then having a new iphone isnt going to help you much. Honestly...money doesnt buy happiness you create your own.

I have always felt that longing for things will become a reality when there is sufficient money around and so when that is not the situation with you just yet, it would be frustrating for you to have such thoughts. It is good to have aspirations but they should be in line with the ability to achieve them. I wish you the best in being in such a position soon.

You wanted money very badly and easily? You better rob a bank. In our current situation right now is there is no easy way to get some money aside robbing a bank. Everything is not easy we must work hard for everything. Sort things out and know your priorities.

Almost everyone in this world wishes to have more money and desires material things. I am not saying that I agree with you. My point is that we've all had our shares of being a little greedy once in our lives. It's natural for us humans to covet things that we think will make our lives easier. So don't be too harsh on yourself. Coveting stuff and wanting to have more money is an inate human nature.

Believe me, those things will make your unhappiness stronger. You will feel not only unhappy, but guilty too, because you will realize you didn't need them actually as much as you imagined, and you'll end up trying more extreme things. You should talk to some one you rely on, so you could tell him or her how you are feeling, because I'm sure there's something else beyond your wish for material stuff. Try it, you won't repent.
