I don´t know what you mean with the lack of opportunity to show their talents. I think that it depends on what kind of talents we talk about. At home, a woman (or a man, if we come to that) can show their talents becoming a wonderful cook, a home decorator and designer, they can learn and show their talents as a gardener and even spend less money in groceries if they have a vegetable garden. The opportunities are many for a person who works at home. They can change a cheap housing in a palace with talent and a bit of money.
I know a lady that got all her living room furniture from the street´s castaways, upholstered the chairs and painted the living room walls. She was no pro at any of those jobs, but she found a way

Of course they are good in multi-tasking, they have to take care of the home chorus, cook for her husband and children, keep their home comfy and liveable, it sure need plenty of hard work and possess certain talent in order to do it. I agree with your opinion on home making women, if only when they are given ample opprtunity, then they can very successful in certain sector of our economy.

I think that the hardest job in the world is home maker with a house and children. The lady has to look after the children and make sure the house is clean plus tidy. The more children she has the hardest she has to work. Women compared to men are very good at multitasking. They don't get much opportunity to be appreciated or recognized for their talent.
