Would you like to be gifted with beauty or brains? If you can only choose one would you rather be bright or beautiful?
I'd rather be bright and intelligent. I think that if we know a lot it will be easier to make dreams come true.
Beauty fades but knowledge just grow better with time. I think that intelligence is a priceless
blessing where we can improve ourselves
on. If we are intelligent we can even do good by sharing knowledge with others. Which one would
you choose?

Brains! I like my brains and beauty can go down the sink for all I care. Think about it this way: this is not a nice world. It is a world full of selfish people who want they want and will not hesitate to exploit if the opportunity arises. Now let us imagine a very beautiful girl who is also very, very dim in the head. This is going to end in disaster. She is just the type that all the creeps are looking for. She is gorgeous but doesn't have it in her head to know when she is being used. She won't be able to recognize the signs of danger and she won't be able to judge a man accurately. Such a woman is going to have a very tragic life.
With brains at least one has the wits necessary to survive. One can recognize what is dangerous and what is not. One can tell which people are great to hang around and which are just trouble. They have the capability to realize and respond accordingly. A person with wits stands a much better chance at having a good life than a person with beauty and no wits.

I choose beauty because a person can work hard if one is not too smart, but beauty is a God given gift. Natural beauty is a rarity these days so yes beauty it is!

The good God has blessed me with both. At times I run into difficulties because some are under the assumption that you cannot possess both. Lots of people who are attracted to me because of my looks are often disappointed when they realize I am also gifted with brain power.
I love having both, and thank God for thus blessing me. I now look forward to money power.

To become a super intelligent!!!That is what I really want. You are absolutely right about saying "having intelligence will really help us achieve our dreams easily". On the other hand, having beauty??hmmmm. It would be nice on the first run. You can achieve your dreams through beauty too. You can go to hollywood if you have beauty, but as what you have said, beauty does not last long. But for me, I want more intelligence and at least have a looks that is still pleasing on the eyes, because sometimes intelligence is not enough in our time today. At least having a pleasing look that is good for the eyes is enough.

Yes, beauty can also give you a lot of opportunities, but if you don't have the brains to plan your like and choose which decision to make, then I guess that will also be a risk. If you went to hollywood and earn money but you don't know how to use that and save, then success will not be easy. If you don't know how to choose which people to trust, then people will take advantage without you knowing. After beauty fades, and after living a life without direction because of not knowing how, then how will your late age be?

For me, it would definitely be brains.
The benefits of being smart outweigh the benefits of being pretty in my eyes. I'd much rather associate (and be associated with) the type of people who work hard for conservation, or to fight diseases, or run successful companies, than the type of people who are known for their looks.
Being attractive has downsides too, like the assumptions men make regarding your promiscuity, like the fact other women resent/are jealous/don't like their men talking to you.
Not to mention, if you're bothered about being both - I think it's harder to exaggerate/fake intelligence than it is to exaggerate/fake being pretty.
A great haircut, a few make up lessons, good dress sense and confidence, can all make you look more beautiful (even if you aren't especially).
To fake intelligence, you'd need to spend lots of time reading up on things you don't know about etc - it would be much harder.
Plus, like you said, the benefits of helping others are much higher from being smart than from being beautiful. It'll be an intelligent individual who discovers the cure for cancer, who comes up with a way to save the rhinos, who solves the economic problems etc etc.

I would choose intelligence over beauty anytime. Beauty can be achieved in a lot of ways and I have to agree with you that it's not timeless.
Once you age, beauty fades and it does not offer 1 thing that intelligence might be able to provide you and that's immortality through legacy.
A lot of people has been immortalised because of their brains alone - take Einstein or Newton, their names will forever be embedded in the history of Man.
Look for the most beautiful girl or man in our history, there's no one notable and some people might actually disagree on why that girl or guy was dubbed as the most beautiful but no one could doubt the work of a smart man or woman or why he was called a smart man or woman.

Brains all the way! When you're bright and know the challenges of life. You're ready to battle against the hardships and reach to the top. You can be successful, learn and have confidence in yourself. Beauty is something all the girls will go for as girls think it is the attractive agent for guys. But really brains can appeal to guys too and yes, beauty never lasts. =) We all grow with wisdom!

Though beauty works at some places and has its own value... I would always prefer the brain. If you have a brain that can be intelligent, there is nothing like that and you can do wonders whereever you are...My choice is the Brain and not the beauty !

brains hands down. beauty fades, true. but there are so many technological advances that can slow down the aging process and fake one's real age. even so, wouldn't you feel more successful if you accomplish something because you're smart, that you're not just another one of those pretty faces who get their way just because they're easy on the eyes?

I rather be gifted in brains because with brains you go far in life. If you have beauty then you many be beautiful but what does it gget you. The people that make millions and billions of dollars are the smart one. If you are smart then you automatically have great potential. I never hear many people just make money with there beauty. If they do make money with there beauty then they probably wouldn't even make close to a million. Also if you are beautiful then it goes away when you get older. This is why oi rather be smart then beautiful.

I look at the most beautiful woman and see that it is still possible for others to find flaws. I would prefer brains over beauty. I believe in life, beauty will only get you so far and eventually we all be ugly so to speak. In twenty years I am going to be wrinkled, and my flaws are going to be endless. But brains is something that is harder to get rid of even if I were ugly. I am an individual that lusts for conversation, so being bright will just increase my connection with individuals that are different than me.

I want to be bright! there goes a saying "What is beauty if the brain is empty?" who would want to have an poor brain. It's such a shame if you are beautiful but you're not bright, as my professor in college always tells us that God don't give everything to a person, we can either be the bright one or the beautiful one. Being bright is a good starting path in a career you want to pursue, you will be confident enough to reach you dreams and goals in life.

hello,
Like you, Id rather to choose bright or being intelligent because I know that it will never be stolen by others and I know that I can fight to the world even I am not rich at all. And I know I can used my knowledge to use it for the better of myself and family.
