I come to over-hear the conversation of few teenagers - about seven of them or so. They were arguing about penalizing the animal to the capital punishment once it had killed a person. The teenagers, each of them made several examples as to what action to be taken by by whoever. One talk about the Chimpanzee, one talk about the tamed Elephant, one talk about the domesticated Tiger in their neighborhood and many more. Not only that they were able to justify the rule of the law with regard to their position. This kids will find ease taking law in college, peanut for them as they are already acting like one. What a talented young fellows, they were able to comprehend themselves on a matter of discussion of national interest, I guess. Having to use the word "animals" are too broad to suggest for a discussion, the reason why I specifically select dog as the particular subject of discussion - because people are regularly and definitely met dogs everyday of our lives. As perceive by the young fellows whom made their wit-race goes a long long way, why not make it for concerned, matured, and highly debatable intellectuals to do the race here at myLot. The truth, I never taught about it before and I do not have a ready answer for that, whenever I will encounter such situation. If you may you can make your own scenario in sharing your own opinion - because everything is possible. Everybody is cordially invited. Tell me and the entire myLot community how to handle this situation. See you - the sooner, the better.

I think that there is a difference between wild animals and domesticated pets. There is a reason why wild animals such as tigers and chimpanzees are illlegal to own in most of the world as pets, because they are untameable. Their instinct is to kill in certain circumstances and therefore they should always be handled as such. Pets like dogs, however should be treated differently entirely. Many people are irresponsible and raise their dogs to be killers. This is appalling, and it is also illegal. It still happens though, and it is frequently heard that a dog has killed a baby or a small child. Whilst it is not the dogs fault, but rather that of the irresponsible dog owner, it is the dogs that are at the lower end of the food chain. We are the superior species. Now you may want to argue with me about that, but whether you like it or not, it is very true. For that reason, I think that any dog that attacks a human without killing them, but causes serious harm should be sent to a dog borstal to help the owner get the dog under control. If it makes a similar attack again, then I think that the dog should be euthanised before it has the chance to hurt anyone again. If a dog kills a person, whether it be a baby, child or adult, then I think it should be euthanised straight away. I have known many people who have even dangerous breeds of dog such as Rottweilers, and seen little children do things like pull the dogs tail. Those dogs have simply given a small warning nip, nothing that would at all cause harm to the cild, but just a slight grasp gently with its teeth. This is the normal behaviour that a dog should display when provoked. They should not go beserk, start foaming at the mouth and brutally attacking.

Thank you for the response. Whew, I was amaze by the vocabularies you had been releasing as well as the rhetoric of the explanation. To understand further, please give me time to research for some few words I just had encountered. Yet, your position is very well taken. As a matter of fact, knowing you have knowledge in dog training facilitation, If you would be kind enough to help us find mitigating measure or measures on how avoid domesticated dog attacks to human. I presume, base on your response, that you have abundant knowledge about dogs. If it's not too much to you, can we roll the discussion to the kinds of domesticated dogs and their inherent characters? I would be grateful to share that information to myLot community from here. I am confident that there are a lot of people willing to participate. We will be hearing from you.

Well actually I dislike dogs. I dont mind people owning them but I've always been really scared of them. I try to research as much as I can so that I know how to handle myself around them but I am one of those people who manages to make dogs bark for no reason. I carry an ultrasonic dog repeller which is not harmful to dogs at all but when you press it the dog hears a high pitched sound. Humans cant hear it but it makes dogs run away as they dont like to hear it. I dont need to use it much but if a dog does come near me off a leash I have that and can press it to make the dog stay away from me.

Thank you for the response. I feel dogs will be liking you so much - you think about their food. The dogs in your custody will not starve - which mostly was the reason dogs get mad and bite. Your appeal to small dogs is your privilege. Please write more about small dogs and their qualities that made you appreciate their belongings. I believe many in myLot community would be willing to inter-act. You are most welcome, too.
