I'm missing my family. It feels like it was only yesterday that I play with my brothers and sisters, run laughing around the house with them, have meals or watch our favorite TV show together. I will never forget the last get-away I have with my family. It was in 2009 that we were complete and went to our province to visit the place where we lived a decade back. We were reminiscing funny stories in the house where we lived before and tried our best to go around that little town and remember many things. I saw that my mom was so happy seeing everybody present because we rarely get complete since my other brothers are already married as well. I think I'm going to plan another reunion for my family. How about you? What is your most unforgettable get-away with family?

Hi ronadelle! Do you live independently now? We hardly go for a vacation. It's not my mom's cup of tea. And she doesn't like spending a lot for things like that. And she doesn't like traveling far with lots of things on hand. As far as I can remember, the last time we tried to have a get away was way, way back when I was still a teenager. We went to our relatives in Quezon province. I can't remember much what we did there because it wasn't very memorable, all I remember is that I had a relative that looked like Joko Diaz. That was the first time we met our relatives in that place and it was really nice but short. We never saw them again. We didn't go back there and they don't come here to visit.

Hi! I'm married now and I live separately from my family. My other brother has his family as well and living in a far place that's why we barely see each other. I hope that you get to see your family again.

Me too, I am really missing my family a lot. I can't remember when was our last get-away together since we are now in different places and only my father and mother are left in my hometown. When me and my brother comes home, we make it a point to spend our time with our parents. As simple as eating out with them would really mean a lot to me. Although my elder sister is so far from us, and seldom communicates with us, I'm still hoping that one day we could have our get-away and just be happy with each other's company and maybe when that day comes, I'm sure it will be an unforgettable one.

The best get-a-away was last August 2010 when my sister got remarried. My sister had the wedding outside by a lake by the cabin she and her husband own! The weather was prefect! It was sunny,a light breeze and around 70F! I was a bridesmaid and the wedding was simple and beautiful! The whole family was there and so my my new brother-in-law's family! Probaly the best family get together ever! It was a fun time!

I always want to have a family vocation. But it seems that I never have time. Shame on me.

As much as possible, wherever we go, the family must be complete. I value the company of family. If I can't join my friends, they would already know who I am with. They need not ask. My brother is getting married soon. Our first in the family. I think there will be changes soon. But like you, I look forward to reunions and looking back to where we once fooled around. :) God bless your family.

My most unforgettable family get-away was last year when my father was in Singapore. He sent us plane tickets to have a vacation there while he's working and it was the best even though i felt homesick at some time, we stayed there for about 24 days at my dad's condo apartment and condo was fantastic i really loved being there, and everyday we would go out strolling different places, we do shopping together, fooling around, doing groceries and all i can say is it was a blast! We enjoyed our time as a family and everybody was happy. And when we need to go back home my mom cried because he don't want my dad to be alone and we feel sad about it but we have to go.

Now that sounds fulfilling! There is something about coming back to the pleasant old places...and it helps when everyone special is there to! :) Ironically, for me, the most memorable vacation my family took was not to Disney land or to get a tan in the Bahamas or even Las Vegas. My family - before the recession - were extravagant vacation takers. However I think my favorite was when we just went around the state we lived in (Montana) and saw the local sights! Yellowstone, historic stuff, the full package. It was great getting a better feel for the place in which I lived and there was something about that modest little vacation that brought us together like none of the far off vacations could. There is also less people (and thus less lines) to deal with. Let us face it: state parks just do not attract crowds like Disneyland. I really appreciated that - one of my least favorite parts of vacation is having to deal with the hoards just to do anything so not having to for a change was great! :)
