Its a rainy day again here in the philippines. And as always, there are a lo of floods which really makes me angry. I hate it when my shoes gets water inside then at the end, I now cant use my shoes because its breaks because of water.
They always say that they are quickly making solutions for these, but it seems nothing happens. Well, Im not against the government who were implementing rules and solutions for these problems but Im against to those people who keeps on saying they will do something but still nothing happens.
It really feels disgusting.

Actually we should not blame the government all the time regarding this matter but it must be ourselves as well because of lacking discipline when it comes to cleanliness. If all of people would only started to cooperate then the situation wouldn't be that complicated. The problem with us is that we are always relying to the government until to the point of blaming them. I think if they have made the solution already then people would not cooperate then that is totally non sense at all.

Tsk,tsk... seems we never learn (at least most), There is very little flooding in where I live because people here have somewhat learned to keep our water ways free of clogging but I see a different picture around the country, it's still the same, people building shanties or living in places they should not be in and start clogging esteros with garbage, cutting trees to plant crops, flooding and land slides is all we get. I wonder when Filipinos will learn?

Flooding can be thought of as a natural phenomena. Actually, it is not a natural phenomena but rather an effect caused by people mishandling the nature. Its an annoying fact that a quick and light rain can already produce some flood and affect the traffic on the streets. The government must be largely blamed on this problem because they are not performing their duties. Whenever they do some projects, they don't do it efficiently. I remember I always see some constructions on the road wherein I thought there was really nothing on it to be repaired on the first place. But, why did they still have a project there? The answer would be "corruption". The government are just using these "so-called projects" to collect their individual bribes. Still, the whole nation adds some destruction on our nature. We should be able to take care of nature by ourselves. Simple things like throwing your trash on the right place is a big help. This problem must be solved not only by the government but also with the help of the whole nation. Everyone can share their part on this. If not, we may find our country flooded even in summer days.

The flooding issues on the metro and the provinces in the Philippines are rooted deeply on attitude of the Filipino people. Some politicians just implements the project to make it as a source of their income. Instead of thinking about the betterment of the People affected, they'd rather have a fat pocket from the kick-back that they have on the proposed project to beat the flood.
The flooding is also partly the fault of the residences that lives around the area, there are drainages available in every street, the only problem is that when you check the drainage, its clogged with garbage that has accumulated overtime. I for one am guilty of throwing garbage on the street and I have contributed to this flooding problem that we are currently facing.
I think the only way to beat this is if we work together - politicians and citizens alike. Politicians should focus more on the projects to beat the flood, look away from corruption and start thinking about the well being of the one who elected them. Citizens should start taking the garbage issue seriously, we don't even know how to segregate our trash nor do we make an effort to. There is always a start for everything and since we are experiencing the effects now, shouldn't it be the right time to start?
