hello mylotters, for me economic crisis is the same as financial crisis which is applied broadly to a variety of situations in which some of financial institutions or assets suddenly lose a large part of their value. for large and rich companies they say financial crisis, but for middle class company and individuals they would say economic crisis. it doesn't mean that there is no job, it means job become less as expected. many workers will resign or some terminated because of low demand. Or should i say "cost cutting" of the company. yes philippines is experiencing economic crisis and i believe it is now worldwide. commodities prices are going up and some people loss their job because of crisis.

Hi Biach,
I am in the US and yes, the economy literally sucks right about now. I raised 4 girls on my own and now only have the 17 yr old at home. I should be doing better right now, right? Well, it's worse than ever. I work full time and make incense burners on the side. I bring in money and still am barely able to keep food on the table and gas in my car to get to work as well as pay the bills. And my bills are minimal compared to some people! I don't have a car payment as I bought my car with cash that I had from income tax 2 yrs ago. The biggest luxery that I have is this internet and the cable with combined are about 70.00 per month. I don't have a cell phone bill. The economy is horrible. I am doing better than some and I console myself in that. I am not homeless and I do have work. There are many that are doing far worse than I am so I don't feel I have the right to complain.

A crisis does not mean that you have no money or that you cannot find anything to buy. It does mean that you cannot afford to buy the necessities and that you face unemployment. It means that you are in fear of losing everything that you have worked all your life for. It means that you do not see any improvement in the near future. It means that your idiot Government is doing all the wrong things and seems bent on continuing to do so.

If looking around, malls under construction and new building rising, new establishments everywhere, I can say that, crisis is around as we can feel it, but not for those who has lots of money to spend for nothing.
The unemployment is also taking too high, and too many families were suffering from this high price of daily commodities.
I am affected yes, not only physically but also emotionally as you can see around those homeless people, beggars and street children.
And what does our government is doing....but nothing?
have a good day

Although hour country is in some form of crisis, there are many without more and more these days. It just seems that my country does not have their priorities straight. I see a lot that goes around, with getting better for the government but for the citizens, not so much, if anything not good. I am one without a job for well over a year and can't do any of the things you mentioned. I am still hopeful, like my country that things turn around real soon.

Economic crisis is a universal phenomenon. No country is spared. May be in less or more magnitude.
