[experiment] How would I be able to get my site ?

I am creating a travel website. however I have created two test site to see how I am able to get traffic to my site. One site I have ask something to build some links for me and one the other I am using some plugins to help me get links and get ranked. I wonder which could do better? Does anyone have some advice to give me to build traffic to my site.

Just create a page on Facebook about your travel website and invite friends to join. That way you can occasionally share any blogs or pictures or any promotional things there.

Have you tried joining bookmarking sites? You can also ask your online friends to view your links every once in a while. Also, try joining forums to leave some backlinks. :) I hope this helps.

That is what I intend to do, I just hope it would not be troublesome. I have seen people promoting some plugins to get backlinks easily, I am just not sure if I should trust them. Of course it helps.

Use social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. I use Twitfeed since my main site is hosted through Blogger with an official domain. I also use YouTube and Dailymotion for promotions and I get at least 100 new visitors every month.
