I have a friend who is allergic to chicken. off all the food why chicken which everybody likes eating. I have a theory to check if its correct. i invited my friends for a dinner. I made a spaghetti wherein instead of ground pork & beef, I use a ground chicken. They didnt taste any difference and ate everything. I observe my friend if the allergy was activated and it wasnt. The allergy was psychosomatic meaning it was only in the mind. c",)

I would not do that because even if I´m glad nothing happened you could have poisoned your friend to prove a point.
I prefer to accept my friends as they are, taking take to have caring friends.

its a matter knowing fully your friends before taking such steps. Knowing the reasons behind. I got to know it is self inflicted allergy which has no medical background. I want to show that person to get over such fear by change of mind setting

I´m very glad all went well. I myself have a lot of respect for what our body (even fear or psychosomatic behavior) tells us. I´m on a chemo for a kind of cancer that is usually diagnosed at a much higher stage, with greater risk. I only knew that there was something "not right". The second doctor I saw took me seriously, basically I think, to prove I was wrong. Only the last exam, a biopsy, showed what I had. The other ones showed nothing. Yet, there it was. My body, some hidden fear, had told me. Everyone I knew told me there was nothing wrong with me, I looked so healthy. The picture in my avatar was taken in March and I had already started my exams with the second doctor.

its mind over matter...whatever we think for ourself mostlikely it will happen...and the best way is to be positive so that all will be well...but sometimes our negativity overpower us and in result it has adverse reaction to our body that becomes sickness...I hope and pray for your full recovery ...no one can help you but yourself...fight! fight! fight! c",)

I'm with the others. The phrase "The arrogance of youth" springs to mind. Your arrogant self-belief could have killed your friend if you had got it wrong, and the fact that you didn't get it wrong does not alter the fact that you are a dangerous fool.

WOW! I am really, really surprised that some-one would take such a risk, as to put their friends in harm's way. Your precociousness could have cost some-one their life! Anaphylactic shock can take hour's to manifest itself, and that person could have woke up in the middle of the night in dire straits, and possibly not able to get to emergency help in time! You really have shaken me to the core, WHAT if you had been wrong...and the allergy was NOT "in their mind?"

he was eating chicken indirectly, chicken soups, noodles with chicken, anything wid chicken...he just doesnt like eating the meat directly and just leave on his plate...he was just hiding his dislike to chicken meat by saying he has allergy...which he is all made in his mind...thus i coook something that it doesnt show the chicken ...so i know there will be no adverse reaction to what i did...u now understand?

Doing such a thing could have put your friend's life in danger. Some doctors have said too that in order for us to cure our allergies we have to eat what causes it so that we can be immune to it. But for me I think i will not follow their advise I'm the one who will suffer in case my allergies triggers for eating what is not advisable for me to eat. Yeah, sometimes it's only in our mind that caused it. It's good your friend didn't get allergy after eaten spaghetti. Maybe he/she have a reason for not eating chicken.

I don't like the idea : maybe your friend is not allergic to chicken, but has some personal reasons to not eat chicken. I live in a country where rabbits are eaten, I don't want to eat rabbits, and I would be angry if a friend was doing me a joke like this one. We have to respect our friends. I think you should have inform him before.

OH BOY! topffer, I am so with you here! Reading this, my emotions ran the gamut from fear (of the author)of the discussion, to down-right sick to my stomach, thinking of all the risks that had been taken. MY LORD, one would think ONE could trust one's "so called friends" NOT to put their life in jeopardy---with friend's like that, who needs enemies? I'm off to work now, but this will be "bad food" for thought..all day! Cheers!
