does anyone own schnauzers?

Dogs are like people, each one is going to be different. Schnauzers in particular were bread for ratting - catching and killing rats in the home. They're a terrier breed and very athletic. So hyperactivity can be a schnauzer trait. I personally have two schnauzers. One loves to play fetch, run in the yard, and generally be hyper. The other likes to sunbathe, sit in your lap to get belly rubs, and chase lizards - if you try to play fetch with him, he just looks at the ball wondering what to do.

mine is actually quite calm, and he's only 8 months old... he poops in the house though, any suggestions for that?? he only does it in one spot in the house and only if i am asleep or in the shower... weird
