online friends

I have about 100+ people in my facebook. Internet world is virtual world, so we can't take it is actual world. Friends at facebook are just to talk when you are feeling lonely. You can't expect from them behaving like actual friends. I think its just to know about different types people, nothing more than that.

Hi Johnbrainlot, How are you? I agree with you! I have thousand over friends in facebook. I have about 3/4 of them which is not my friends. I usually labelled them as my facebook "games" friends. So they are not entirely my friends. But I do have fun playing games with them. So all is well. I added them for playing games. I have only about 1/4 or even lesser which is my friends and family and relatives.

I have more about 550 friends on facebook at the moment. Most of them I have probably never talked to, though I know them, i.e we used to go to the same school, or have talked to once or twice. There are only some people I can say who are really my friends. I think facebook does not show the actual sociality of a person. I know a lot of people who have tons of friends online and who actually comment and write on walls and etc, etc, but well... in real life they are no that social. So the number of friends online doesn't actually show anything.

I have about 150 plus friends on Facebook. Those are mainly ex school and classmates. The others are just abit of family and a couple of ex and present colleagues. Actually, out of those friends, I haven't even seen a whole lot of them for many years now. It's just that we 'know' each other and wish each other for birthdays or have general comments for each other. There are like 2 or 3 of those who are good friends with me.

Absolutely! One of the things that most annoys me about facebook is the fact that the number of friends you have on yor profile is used as some kind of status symbol. At first, I used to just accept all the friend requests I got, even if I only vaguely knew the person. There are people on there that I don't know and never have talked to. Now I don't bother accepting them. I have a few on there that actually are my real friends, mainly because we met and were friends before adding each other on facebook.

I have yet to reach facebook (is that strange?) someday I will get there. In the meantime I can honestly say I have a few real friends online but only a few. Though we have never met in person I still feel close to them and we have shared a lot so yes there are real feeling there. However, there have been many buddies as well and they still important but some have drifted away into cyber space but that has happened in real like too as life takes different directions. I do not consider every person I communicate on line with a friend but still try to exchange respect.

i have about 900 friends on mine. half of mine are family and i would say about 30 would be my close real friends. but the rest its mainly a hey how you doing and thats it.

I have nearly 200 friends in my Facebook. All are the one who I know. I don't want to share any of my information the the people who don't know me or I don't know. Facebook is the one which can be used for friendly purposes.
