Not sure if I'll bother watching many of my usual TV shows this fall.
Two of my usual favorites are Dancing With The Stars and The Biggest Loser.
Well, the line up for Dancing With The Stars is not all that impressive. Most years there's at least 1 celeb I want to see and root for.. but this season there are not. David Arquette and Ricki Lake are really the only ones I've heard of.. but they aren't big enough to entice me to watch.
The Biggest Loser has changed a lot! Last season they added 2 new trainers, and I was not at all impressed with the new female trainer. The guy was sort of cute.. but neither of the new trainers are as good as Bob and Jillian. They both seemed to stick with one thing. They were both big on boxing.. which is a great work out.. but Bob and Jillian used a lot of different ways to work out the contestants.. and I think that's better. Introduce them to lots of different types of exercises and hope that they end up liking one to stick with it. But if you only introduce them to boxing and they hate boxing.. they won't stick with a work out plan! Now this year Jillian is gone and they've brought on a tennis player, Anna Kournikova to replace Jillian.
With all the changes and lack of excitement I feel towards these shows.. I probably won't end up watching them.
I do plan on watching Castle and The Sing Off which are starting back up this fall. If they ever bring back The Voice I will watch that, and America's Got Talent though I'm not sure when those seasons will start.. I'm guessing it won't be this fall since AGT is on right now and The Voice just ended a few weeks ago.
Are you planning on watching either of these shows this season? Are you excited about these changes.. or do you feel like me and aren't as interested in them due to the changes? Are any of your usual shows changing so much that you're no longer interested in watching them?

I watched " The biggest looser UK" last year. And I was not impressed with the female trainer. She was always not in good mood. This year I did not watched at all. I was busy with something else. I'm surprised that they brought Kurnikova as she is not so big in sport. She won one or two ATP championships and that was it with her career. She made better career in ... films.

I guess they wanted a big name to get people to watch since Jillian is gone now.

I kind of lost interest in both shows. I liked Dancing with the Stars at the beginning but then it bothered me that people that couldn't dance were getting through just on their popularity. Stars that were trying hard and dancing well were going home instead of others that weren't doing as well. I watch Biggest loser off and on but last year I saw how upset Bob and Jillian were getting with the changes that were being made so I kind of lost interest. Instead of inspiring people to try hard to lose weight, it's become a game of throwing weigh ins to get people voted off that they don't like. I don't think I would like the new trainers either. I'm not sure what fall shows I'll watch. I'm excited for the new Bones and The Mentalist. I also love How I met your mother. I'm going to give Two and a half men a try though I can't imagine it will be the same.

At this point I am not watching any television shows. I have to be busy writing to try to earn some money since I do not have a job. I would give The Biggest Loser a shot, if I watch any of them at all.

In terms of work, David Arquette is probably the "biggest" star they have had. Since he's been in a lot of successful movies, and of course he's married to a former Friends star. I too was disappointed with the cast list. The Chaz Bono addition reminds me of Bristol Palin. Both were famous for who their parents were, and both did something in their personal lives that was in the headlines. Stars, they are not.
I am excited about seeing Hope Solo. I do not watch soccer. But I paid attention when the women almost won the World Cup this summer. And I really liked Hope Solo (goal keeper) when they interviewed her. Although I only know him by what show he is on, I'm kind of interested in seeing J.R. Martinez perform. He is on All My Children (don't watch it but have seen him), but he is more than just a regular soap actor. His face bears the burn scars of when his convoy was hit by a road side bomb in Iraq back in 2004 I believe. So he really interests me. His appearance is something I don't know if it will help or hurt his chances. To me it would help. But a lot of people are really superficial.
I like the Big Bang Theory, but they are making some changes in the show I don't really like. So when mentioned shows that made changes that you might now watch anymore, I thought of that one.

I agree about Chaz Bono.. however a lot of people might be interested just because of what he's done to himself.. becoming a man, etc. Personally I don't find that appealling or interesting enough to get me to watch. I guess I'd have to say if I were to watch it for any particular celeb this season it would be Ricki Lake and maybe David Arquette (isn't he divorced now? I thought I'd heard that somewhere). But since neither are inticing enough.. I'll probably skip it and just stick to watching Castle!

i'M LOOKING FORWARD to some new shows.I got pretty bored w/Dancing a few seasons ago. I'll probably watch the first few shows but if they are not more interesting than they have been ceing i will stop. I am anxious to see how nancy grace does on there. I hate it when they can not dance & wonder why they would embarass thenselves by being on there to start wth.I like all the cop shows so i will watch them. Some of the new shows look sort of interesting. The Good Wife is one of my faves.

I think for most of the celebs, the show gives their career a little boost. They're in the spotlight again and become popular with fans again.. so then it's easier for them to get different jobs, etc. This is why we'll never really see any good celebs on there.. their careers don't need the boost, you know.

katsmeow1213,
I am not really a fan of Dancing With The Stars and The Biggest Loser, so I would not actually be pining for them.
However, I would like to see Castle, CSI Vegas, CSI Miami, CSI New York, Criminal Minds, Human Target, Mentalist, NCIS and NCIS LA back this fall - picking up from where they left off last season, I hope that the new season will be more exciting and interesting.
Cheers.

That's a lot of shows! I've watched CSI once or twice.. it's rather dark and disturbing.. but a good show. However I try to stay away from dark and disturbing. Real life is disturbing enough! LOL

There are lot of shows airing in the fall some good some bad, and some in between, but one things for sure it's become a bit difficult to keep up with watching my favorite series along with all the other TV shows because as I said there seems to be a lot of new and old shows coming on in the fall
I enjoy Dancing With The Stars, but there's a few other shows I'd like to watch but I'm not sure if I'll be able to watch all of them ha,ha, I don't have Tivo or a DVR yet, so I won't be able to watch em all nor will I have time to but I'll definitely watch dancing with the stars, and maybe that new X-factor if the airing times don't clash.

When fall rolls in, I rarely notice the new television shows. It is usually when the NFL and the NHL starts. So they take precedence over any prime time show. Although when it is not a game night, and there is nothing on, I might notice something to watch.

I avoid watching Dancing With The Stars as much as possible. I watched a few in the past. I'd rather watch So You Think You Can Dance. I never like the idea of why a former NFL player, actors, actresses, or any celebrity trying hard to learn some dance moves or embarass themselves if they don't dance good enough.
How about X Factor? Have you tried watching this? AGT results are getting predictable in the last few years. It seems like vote of sympathy.
The biggest one that I put on my DVR is Terra Nova. Somehow, lots of Fox's shows seem more appealing to me than other networks.

Dancing with the stars is one of my favorite shows,I mostly watch it because I admire the proS talent at teaching and choreographing, and I like to see the progress of the stars from one week to an other. The judging and the public selection,I do not pay attention anymore, because, all it counts is how well you are known, and liked.Nothing to do with your skill! An other of my favorite shows is The amazing race, can't wait to see it .Castle,Parenthood,Bones,NCIS, are few of the other shows I enjoy.

AGT lol those are my initials! Is that why I hate that show? Or is it simply because I don't care to make the previously or currently famous more money :) TV is good when the idividual is learning something....what does one learn by watching AGT? Not a single thing of value. I mean come the f*ck on people! I'm sure we all have more productive things we could be doing with our time than watching TV.. for example posting this blog... Thank you for choosing to do so rather than loosing yet another 10 mins of your life! Thank you for giving me the oportunity to vent on your a$$ about how sheep like you promote the brainwashing of society. :)
Cheers
