I am a Chinese highschool student ?Some time ago,I was in dispute with my class teacher?
I have a dreaming of becoming a novelist,I read much novel and kept writting novel? Then A pulishing house wanted to pulish the novel I was writting?I felt excited ,To let the novel be pulished,I accelerated to write the novel.the dispute took place.
as you know,Chinese highschool student is very hard, our classes begin at 7.a.m and end at 10.p.m.
I could hardly have no time to write my novel,so I write in the class secretly. But my class teacher found it.She said that ,as astudent study is the most important thing know, she asked me to give up writing my novel or I will expelled from school.I think it is won't listen to reason.I think that , study is for the dream, isen't it?But my teacher and my parent don't think so,they think that study is to find a good job. They asked me to give up my dream, the dream I have close to.
I am going crazy. My teacher told my father to destory everything I have written to let me study attentively.

I think you should study like your parents and teachers say, but keep on writing. As a writer, I kept to my dream and now I am old without having been a best selling writer. Being a writer is a job. You have to study your language (mine is Engish), study the market and see what readers like, study the market and see how readers want it published (first person or second person, magic realism or romance, etc.; study the publisher and see what kinds of books they publish, and do other things like a person who has a job to survive. Once you have dreams of being a writer, that dream will not go away. If you stop writing, one day when you get old, you will wish you had of continued to write. So keep writing. Harlan Ellison says we write because it's "ego and posterity." from Dark Dreamers featuring Harlon Ellison - Part 1: http://www.stanley-wiater.com/wiater.html
