We wish to have everything, a new phone, a new car, including freedom. But a person who has cancer may only want one thing to survive. Are you somehow materialistic?

To me freedom has nothing to do with materialism. Freedom is a feeling. The feeling I can decide myself what to do or what not, even if I am ill or have a lot of responsibility. Not to be lived by others, forced to do things you don't like or want to do, be respected if you refuse help or health care (the last should be a right not a must). If freedom is a sing of materialism then I am materialistic indeed.

Hi Jackie! Yes, I admit. I am materialistic at times. Many times actually. But I don't want expensive things which I can't afford. I am sometimes materialistic but I am practical, too. I may want a lot of things but if I know that I can't afford it, I will forget it. If I really do need and want something at the same time, then I save money to be able to buy it.

I think I am somehow materialistic. Somehow. I don't know because I can only see that in tiny bits. It is really good to know always and be thankful that we are blessed with so many wonderful things (priceless ones) that others are unable to enjoy or savor. Everyday, let us do that.
