Old "chichiria" (junk food/chips) you used to eat as a kid

I'm eating Rin-Bee right now. I remember this was one of my favorite junk foods or chichiria when I was a kid. I really love the cheesiness of it. I also liked Cheez-It, the milk flavored one. And I like Sunshine green peas. Anyone remember that?
There was also Doris but I think it wasn't that old like Rin-Bee or Cheez-It. Then the brandl-ess orange chicharon which are circle-shaped compared to the rectangular-shaped yellow chicharon dipped into vinegar. Sarap!
So what were your favorite chichiria before? That's aside from Chippy, and all that popular brands of chips.

Rin-bee and cheez-it are good cheeze flavored snack but I eat cheesy snack occasionally because I hate the odor of cheese. I eat Mi-Mi chicken flavored chichiria when I was a kid and it's very popular way back but now only central luzon is selling this Mi-Mi chichiria.

I don't know Mi-mi! I thought I knew a lot of chichiria but I don't know this one. Most of the chichiria I liked were cheese-flavored, too. I guess it was the selling point for kids.

I know Tomi! It's basically corn chips, right? I love that, too as well!

Mi-Mi is a thin version of boogyman and it's only have 1 flavor which is chicken flavor. During my childhood it's very common in every stores but nowadays only central luzon produces that product. Anyone here knows the first flavor of Tomi?

Hi secret!
This is a nice topic that brings me back to my childhood days!
I also like Rin-Bee but I'm not much into Cheeze It. hehe I like Pritos Ring, coz I like playing it! and also DingDong.
I like the cheesy flavored and also the salty junk foods.
I know that chicharon you are talking about, my mom always buy it. I remember that right after dinner, my mom and I will go to a store nearby to buy some chichirias and some candies like frutos and those sweets that can be bought for I think 50 cents like ube, macapuno...
But one thing that I always remember that I am fond eating back then is the cheese curls that "mamang magbobote" trade for some empty bottles. I don't know if you're familiar with that, they are of different colors and it has no brand and they just put it in a paper bag whenever we have bottles.

Hi ckyera! The only Cheese Curls I know is the product of Jack and Jill (?) with blue packaging. As far as I can remember, there was no magbobote who traded cheese curls for bottles. That's a nice gimmick, huh?
I remember Frutos, too!!!! But what I love the most are ube and macapuno!!!! It's too bad I don't see any of it anymore in sari-sari stores. The ones they sell in buses taste differently.

I love macapuno and ube the best. They were bigger then and they only cost P0.25 each.
I think they really do prefer using money now, since it's inconvenient to carry those chichiria while collecting garbage. And people may think their chichiria is dirty.

Yes that Cheese Curls from Jack & Jill is my mom's favorite and still existing till now, but the cheese curls i'm referring is almost like that but with no name, i don't know where they get those but i like them, maybe because of its different colors. I remember every afternoon I am always waiting for the 'magbobote' to come. That was long time ago, I think I am only in grade 1 and it don't really last that long coz maybe trading with money is more convenient for them.
That's true. Sometimes I still get some of those candies but really different from the taste and size before. Today is kinda commercialized already.

You shouldn't forget zoom-zoom where you get to win a 25 cent coin or a toy soldier. I remember almost accidentally swallowing a coin that I won from zoom-zoom. Other junk foods were pom-poms, muy-muy and lala. nyahahhaha. I also like Snacku. Cheeserolls were also a popular hit.

I am familiar with those, when I see them I also reminisce the time when I was a child and I used to like them too. Old chichiria that I still love but includes Pritos Ring. There are some that I really like but it seems that they don't exist anymore like Mimi and Smack

I also liked this cone shaped chips we had but I don't really know the name of it and I haven't seem them around these days.

I'm not sure if they even have their counterpart there in your place. As much as I know they are just locally sold here.

I think I know Nutri-star. But if it were only sold in groceries, then I don't think I got to eat it so often.

I anymore don't have a favorite junk food now. I already have hypertension and always have uti so I stopped eating junk foods. However, sometimes when my nieces and other kids eat I also ask a little just to satisfy my craving for it. Wow, junk foods are really unavoidable. Yes rin-bee and cheez-it are among the junk foods that my nieces eat.

Yeah! I remember those! My mom loved Captain Seeds! I prefer the squash seeds, though. It's easier to peel rather than the watermelon seeds.

I'm a long time Rin-Bee fan, they changed their packaging but its the same old nostalgic taste. I've also like Hebe but I don't think that its still available now. I consider these times as the "Golden Age" of junk foods partly because I can eat them all without having to worry about my health since I'm still young.

Yeah, the packaging is a little different but I think the taste is the same. Oh, when I was a kid I don't get scolded much from eating these junk foods but at that time, it was already considered junk.

I've looked at the link you posted. That Potato Sticks looked more like Piknik, those in cans? I like that, too.

Yeah, it was really during my elementary days, too when I get to eat these junks. I don't remember Vinegar but it sounds familiar.

I've never dipped peewee in anything. Maybe I should try it one of these days.
I loved those kinds of chichiria, too! I loved finding toys even if they were so small and ugly.

Speaking of Junk foods, I really do miss eating them because I cannot buy them here to where I am. I know those Rinbee, Cheeze It that you have mentioned . But not only these junk foods that I miss, I also miss this chocolate candy I used to buy Tootsie roll.
I even miss Jack and Jill Chippy(red) barbecue flavor, Piatos, V-cut, Mr. Chips and Leslie's, already drooling here, but what can I do, I'm far away from home and I can't buy those here, huhuhu.

I don't see Tootsie Roll anymore, at least here in the sari-sari stores in our neighborhood. Something like Tootsie Roll has replaced it.
Too bad you can't order them online. I think you can! Well, at least for those really popular and big brands like Chippy and Piattos.

I like snacku and peewee, too! But I only like the original flavor of peewee. There's a pizza flavor and I don't like the taste.
You can visit a sari-sari store if you miss eating chichiria.

I love Clover Chips, too! It's tasty and cheap unlike other popular junk foods. I guess we can consider chicharon a junk food since it's high in fats and bad cholesterol.

I used to have my own sari-sari store, too when I was in high school. But I did not sell chichiria. Only candies and palamig.
