Just last Friday, I went in to the mall and I chance upon a car show event there. Cars show were mostly modern sports cars and also others who are engineered for better audio and visualized theater (a mini movie house inside the van - how cool is that!) Then one car caught my attention. His color is red and I have a feeling that this car is really, really popular. It's a Nissan GTR R35 2011 model (picture inset). A very handsome car. The lucky owner of the car is one of the wealthiest business man here in our place. And judging from it's space, there was a guy with a cloth in his hand and I guess his "purpose" is to watch the car. I went to him and asked him about the car. He said the car cost around 8 to 10 million pesos (almost $200,000). I was in awe. But the car is such a beauty that I can say it fits the price well. He also told me it was featured in the movie on Fast and the Furious 5 - last part of the movie. I asked him if I could touch the car. He said yes. As soon as I was finish letting my palm feel the car, he quickly wiped it with the cloth. And then he said, his boss is watching is. LOL. Funny moment. Anyway, are you guys fans of car shows? I hope Santa will give me the 2011 Nissan Gtr this christmas. LOL Have a good weekend, Mylotters!

Hubby loves these and will even watch the auctions on TV between his sports programs. Me, I've been to a few but just can't seem to get into it. Good thing we don't have money for things like that.

Makes me wanna be thankful sometimes that we don't have the money to splurge ourselves from this expensive vices. LOL. Kind of a relief though.

Personally, I am not fond of car shows but my husband is. So there are few times that I went to some car shows. There are definitely expensive cars and audio set up. Last car show I have attended, the winner for the audio contest spent more than the cost of the car itself. Imagine that! My husband would love to have those I am sure but since we cannot afford it he settled for not that expensive but with a good sound. He got a good ear and talent anyway, so he was able to fix and maximize the effect. Last Friday, he also went to another car show where he and his friends joined the raffle. He was hoping to win the sub woofer, hmmm he only got the shirt though. But if you ask me I would love to have a yellow sports car with a good audio set up too.

Yes, having a good car plus and impressive audio set. WOW. That what amazes me when it comes to cars and how they are able to find those though just to be able to beautify their car. It takes time and lotsa lots of money to be produce something like that. Cheers to our wishful thinkings.

hi undecided! yup, i'm a big fan of car shows. i attend at least five to six car shows a year. there are a couple held here in our country every two months of so. some are open for the public for free while others would charge a fee. my favorite ones are those that are by invitation only. i get invited to a couple usually from car collectors. it ranges from those that favor a certain brand of car, mercedes benz, volkswagen, ferrari, and the like. i've attended one, it featured some classic cars, automobiles from the 1960s and 70s and vespa scooters! just last month, there was a car show near my office. it was held at the open car park and featured mostly modified cars for drifting and racing. it was an impressive collection but it paled in comparison to the car show that featured classic ones. lol at your story! it was indeed a funny moment!

Hi sweetie. I'm not a big fan of car shows, but i do love sound offs though. Not only are the cars impressive, but the sound coming from them, even better. At least you got to touch it though.

The only car show I enjoy is an English television show called Top Gear. On the show they have all kind of cars from old, new, expensive to F1. Top Gear got me interest in cars even more with the adventures they take like going through an African desert with really old cars and pulling prank on one another like hiding meat on one of their cars so it would attract lions. At least I know what car to buy now.

Hi, cecil. I also watch Top Gear whenever some episodes are aired in our local channel. I also watch Discovery Turbo if I am in my Uncle's place because they have cable. They are also helping us in a way when it comes to car with their evaluations and comparison.

I really like car shows. I have been to the manufacturer's shows highlighting all the new models, but I much prefer the shows with the older, classic cars that have been restored and/or made into hot rods. I grew up during the "muscle car" era here in America so those are the cars that I enjoy the most. I have always been a car guy though, so I enjoy all cars as well as motorcycles and off road vehicles. I've even recently started acquiring a few vintage farm tractors. I guess you could say that I'm a fan of just about anything with wheels and an engine.

Yes, i'm a fan of car shows because of all the different super cars, not forgetting those hot models as well. Most of the time, i will see more guys than woman in car shows, and their purpose is mainly those models. I love fast cars because it gives me a thrill when riding in one. I don't know how to drive, but i enjoy being ferried wherever i go. It's a luxury to be sitting in a supercar, not to mention owning it.

I've been to car auctions before and they have like a little car show to show off the cars and then you bid. There is a car television show called Topgear! It's very popular and you might have heard of it. There's three hosts and they basically talk about cars! Old cars, new cars, weird cars, everything! They test the cars too and the show is pretty funny. Keeps me updated of the modern cars that's been developed. If only I was rich enough to have those cars. =)
