Speakers question

Hello, I'm looking online for some speakers to use in my room for use with my LCD TV and Xbox 360. trying to keep the price under $100. I found the Sony SS-B3000 on Amazon for around $80 and they got excellent reviews. The only thing is, the speakers only have speaker wires for input, and no power cable, no RCA,no 3.5mm jack. It says they are 120 watt input power, and I'm guessing that's individual for each speaker, so I'm guessing 240 watts total. Now I know nothing about speaker wire, or electrical wattage stuff. So can i just go to radio shack and get a RCA to speaker wire adapter and plug them into my TV's RCA audio output? I don't have a whole lot of cash to spare with Battlefield 3 and Forza 4 coming out this fall, so I can't go out and buy some $200, $300 Stereo or A/V Receiver. But if I do have to buy a receiver, does the receiver, HAVE to be able to output 120 watts RSM (i don't know if thats the correct abbreviation something with an "R" and two other letters, like i said, I'm not an audio genius, or an electrician) or can the receiver be a lower wattage output? OR does anyone suggest anything else that would help me?

Hi Lemonizer, Welcome to myLot. I cannot help with your query but I have added xbox360, televison and speakers as tags so that others who know may see this discussion and help you with it. When I first started didn't realise the importance of the tags. Huggles Ellie :)
