I saw my son really enjoyed himself a lot especially when he had the chance to meet his far-away cousin brothers and sisters. He seems enjoy eating a lot, different from his usual self character. Even he chats a lot and having great fun with them. It was nearly 12 midnight and i thought wanted to bring him home to sleep. But he told me that, he don't have the mood to sleep tonight. He loves to be companion with his cousin brothers and sisters....I allowed him to stay out late just for that night, until 2 am in the morning. Not forgetting, even myself and hubby, we tend to chat and eat with our relatives, without realizing that it was very late in the night. We all go to sleep at around 3 am in the morning on that day. Indeed, it is a wonderful party worth to be remembered forever...

I also loved going to parties when I was a kid. I used to love getting on the mascots and pounding them with all my might. I also loved throwing foods to others and just having fun. Ahh, those were the days.

It is really comforting to be around family and loved ones. We need to be around people we love to add that feelings of joy into our lives. Little kids love to make new friends and meet new kids. Once they do they never want to leave. My son did the same at my grandpas house he said all his friends were there so he wanted to be there too!

It's nice to see when your children grow up that they run off and play with others with a mind of their own. I love to watch my son make friends because he is happy he is part of the group. When he first met his cousin they became best friends immediately but they live about four hours apart from each other so they do not get to visit often but when they do they are inseperateable.

Amanda, indeed it is wonderful to watch our children growing up and being independence. At least, they know how to interact and spend their time wisely, playing while getting to know their cousins. I am really like this kind of memory, it is just priceless...

I would be happy for your son. That he enjoys family and being a companion to his cousins. He does see them often and friendships can develope quickly. I remember my cousins and I were very close. He was probably excited too and unable to sleep because of it. Excitement is like a stimulant.

Hi myfb
Oh gosh yes children love parties, they especially love to be where there are children of their own ages. This was great that he had such a memorable and fun time.
They feel so happy to be allowed to attend and the chats they have brightens their day. He will continue to enjoy this for years to come. Some kids don't like parties but some do. My two really enjoyed parties when they were very small, then in their teen years not so much. Now they are older and love them, go figure the stages both went through and are both quite alike. They are two years apart and one boy and one girl so odd how both of them were so similar with the parties.

Yes, i do see and discovered that children indeed enjoyed being in the company with other children of their own age. I can see that my son is more interested to interact with children with his own age rather with those older ones. You seems to be more relaxing now, since your children had grown-up, right? Hope you have a happy day over there, Hardworking...

When i was a kid and cousins from far away would come to visit and stay for a week in our house, we would usually stay up late playing or talking. I always loved having guests in our home and my cousins loved staying there as well. My parents understood how much we loved to spend more time with each other that they allowed us to sleep past our 9pm sleeping time.

Everytime that we get a chance to spend time the family of my husband we can't get enough of it too. We eat, talked a lot and stay late in the evenings as well. Even our little children would also have the privilege to stay late too. Anyway, it is not that often we get to be with them. We only gather every Christmas so we make it a point that every single time we spend it happily.

Yes, when we are only able to meet our relatives on certain time only, it is much better to spend as much time as possible with them. At least, it is a memory that worth to be remembered. Christmas is coming soon in a few more months to go, and hope you and family will organize another great family party again...

I'm glad you let him stay up, just this once. There are always exceptions when appropriate! Your son will remember this all his life and it will be one of his happy memories. If you'd forced him to go to bed it would have stood out in his mind as something with unpleasantness in it. Now he'll remember it as a bright, shining day and night full of fun.
I was usually very strict about bedtimes but I made exceptions for occasions such as you describe. The rare breaking of rules is one of the things that cement a happy memory in the mind. And for family gatherings, it reinforces how special and precious the family is.

Yes, i am trying my best to promote good family relation in my family. That's why, when i see the importance of it, so i give exception for my son to enjoy his fun until the wee hours. As for the usual days, i always make sure that he is in bed early, before the midnight. I am agreed that, at least it gives happy memory to him and worth to be treasured forever...

I am happy to hear that you and your family enjoyed the party, and it sounds like you all had a really good time. It is nice to be meet relatives that you don't see every day. Some weeks ago I went to my uncle's birthday party and I had the chance to meet my cousins who live in other parts of the country. It was very nice to talk to them again and see their children again. I hadn't seen them for one year. One of my cousins live close to Copenhagen and it is expensive to cross the bridge between my neighbour island and Copenhagen so we don't meet very often.

Yes, indeed we have a very wonderful night. It is like we are having this chance once in a big moon, since we are not sure when we are able to meet each other again. Everyone of us have our own busy daily schedule. Hope you do enjoyed yourself and have a wonderful day when you attend your uncle's birthday recently...

dear sis,
Kids really loves party..fun,fames and prizes.
Not to mention that can play with their friends the whole day of the whole occasion.
And the party is only for them- so we cannot spoil their day (hehehe)
Let the kids be kids dear and enjoy their childhood, so they will never missed it soon as they grew up.
have a good day

Hi myfb
Great to hear that you had a great time with your relatives. Yes, kids will be kids. They love gatherings and parties. Your son must be very happy and enjoying spending time with his cousins. Since they don't see each other that often, I guess it's okay to give the few extra hours. After all, it's holiday season.

Yes, Children love parties, because they love the togetheriness and fun that comes with it. There are all kinds of ideas and things to do that normally is not done with just family. It is just so much fun to be together with all the fun and activites. I can imagine how kids feel.

Hi myfb!
I love parties only if I like the people attending it. I think it's the same for everyone. A person can enjoy a party if there are people who he or she can enjoy the party with. I would enjoy a party if I am with friends or people I can relate to. I think it's the same with children. When they see children of their age, they would play together and they would enjoy the party together.
Good for you that you enjoyed yourself! Your son must have really enjoyed it. I can never stay up that late! But in parties, I am able to stay up late if I'm really enjoying myself.

Yes, you have a right point about it. Indeed, when the people that we like are attending the party, we will have great time chatting together. I can see that my son really enjoy talking and playing with his cousins...Yes, when we really enjoy the party, we are willing to sacrifice our sleeping time for it. Because party is only organized once in a blue moon.

Thanks for your respond. Indeed, i am very happy that he enjoyed being with his cousin brothers and sisters that night. In fact they seldom meet each other since we adults are very busy with our own daily life matters. I am happy that all the children seems are enjoying themselves a lot...
