Hello Friends
Everyone's know that yesterday match got abandoned due to rain. Means cancelled due to rain.
Now I just want to know that suppose if anybody had a century on that match and then it abandoned due to rain or some other reason. Will that century will count on his record or it will be not counted as match got abandoned !!
If such score is not count in player's record .. Then I am happy Sachin got injured and didn't played yesterday match ... Think about it sachin scored 100 th century and will not be counted. But that only if that score don't count if match gets abandoned..
Tell me friends.. What is the rule about this thing ??

Personal runs, wickets and match will be counted.Match will be counted as no result for team.
If Sachin would get 100 yesterday,it would be counted as his century.
Cheers

As many people already says about that match that statics and record will be maintain for the match and it will counted as no result for each of the team.
If there would be 20 over played in the England inning them the match would have a result by D/L method.
If a single ball is bowled in the match and it is official match the match get counted along with all details.
Rule says that the match have result unless both team had played a min of 20 overs each.

Hi
I was aware with this rule that if both teams already played 20 overs then it result will surely come even in rain situation with help of D/L method. But as in the match England haven't completed their 20 overs , that's why match got abandoned. So i got confused about players score. But now its all clear.

Even if a match gets abandoned the runs and statistics of that match are counted. Previously there used to be an era when the runs and figures from such matches did not used to count. But now it counts and the number of matches is also increased in the player's account.
Cheers!

Yes surely number of matches has increased lot and specially Team India playing too many games..
So there was not used to count in the past. But yes now that performance of the player will be count even after match got canceled due to this rain problem. All doubts are clear now. Thanks.

Hi bro
Like Sachin I was taking rest too and the reason was that it has been raining here since last 7-8 days
Never mind, if sachin played or not... it is good that the match was called off.. For the records... well, anyone can make records - only thing he needs to win some Reality TV show or even pay a huge amount to get oneself recorded
I know, I have nothing about the discussion or the rulings as all above have made it all quite clear... that should go on the record... At last a discussion where almost all agree to the same things

Hello AKP,
Whenever any match is abandoned due to any reasons then always the individual performances are considered in records. But the match is considered as "NO RESULT".Sachin's 100th century would have been considered in that case.

definitely it will be counted, icc calculate the runs for the players average matches they batted(average),average balls faced(strike rate).so the opponent team having the bowling average.so there is no doubt it will be counted .

Well, it has happened once when Sachin scored century and match was abandoned due to rain. It was in 2002, Tri-series featuring India, England and Sri Lanka in England. Sachin scored a brilliant 105 remained not out till end. But Match was cancelled due to bad wather. Guess what!! it happened at the same venue Chester-le-Street.
So no worries, once you score century.... or any personal score its yours whatever maybe the result of match!!!

Ha ha.. I must had watched that match. But unfortunately I haven't remember it. I thought this because Sachin is just one century away from his 100th century. That's why I thought about it and got confused.. But now all doubts clear after starting this discussion. And thanks for providing info for this.
