yes Indian team has the capabilities to bounce back,right now they are struggling with fitness issues also luck is not favouring them,but it doesnt mean that they could not come back our team is best in all aspect,every team suffers some hard time but i am sure our team will come back and regain its number 1 spot.

i am sure if they stabilise themselves and i think dhoni needs to promote himself on the 4th spot because he plays better at that position
we dont want him just scoring 30 or 40 runs everytime
he should come up with the big ton

@ankitbhat.,you know why Dhoni doesnt like to come at number 4 even if he plays better at that position,because he is a gambler and also he believes in numerology,he come at seventh spot because seven is his lucky number also he like to come at that spot because most of the time team saves or win the match without allowing him to bat,which helps him in maintaining his average and saves him from the danger of not performing,he is really a good gambler and thats why i like him as a captain because captain need to be sharp and clever in all aspect.

dude numerologu doesnt always support you
there are certain times that you get lucky
but everyday you cannot get lucky with astrology or numerolgy whatever it is
there is no substitute to hardwork

well ankitbhat, this is hard to say that India will regain that No 1 spot in Test cricket. what worries me more what if Laxman, Dravid and Sachin retires. Can we able to replace such players after Kumble's retirement we are not able to produce one leg spinner who can be match winner. After Saurav Ganguly retirement team India tried with Yuvaraj and now Raina. But neither have impressed that they are good test players. See Sehwag injured then we have no opener who can replace him. We want instant results from players like Mukund, Murali Vijay, Amit Mishra, etc. Where is Irfan Pathan who was once compared to great Wasim Akram. Where is Balaji who was main paceman for us in Australian series. Some players just come and vanish. I think those players have ability but proper selection policy must be installed instead of quote system where selectors have to select from all zones of country even though no talented player is coming from one zone. Why did W Saha picked for test series against England. What is his role? He is there in England to carry bottles of water for main players and when they are injured, he will come as substitute. What will Saha get out of this. Any experience, absolutely no. Same was case with Munaf Patel who was ignored for test team because he might break down like Zaheer Khan in the middle of the test match. Then why to pick such players for the international team. Why can't selectors try with Varun Aaron in test series instead of ODI's. Why not players like Tygi, Gony,etc who are bowling well on flat tracks in India. England management would not have known these players and they would have struggled against these players.
Finally friend, India can regain No 1 spot only if they play better cricket and not like the one in England. How keen Dhoni and co are interested to play the longer version compared to the shorter version. Dhoni and luck is something which will end some day.

i completely agree with your point
its been hard to find the replacement for kumble forget about leg spinner
we dont have a simple matching winning who can regularly pick up the wickets
harbhajan has been out of the form for a long time and has been pointed for sharp crticisma like ex cricket player prasanna said that he doesnt bowl doosra because he fears that his action might come under sword for bowling.....when you play cricket you should be juvenile enough ....and there are some players that show lack of maturity when they come on field .....its a disaster to see the current condition
a lot of yuoungsters have the potential to be a future great players but they need enough of grooming to become so like uthappa after such a brilliant show in ipl he hasnt been picked up for even a single series and saurav tiwari is such a brilliant batsman he is not even in the scene
out cricket board suffers from politics as well
in our country nothing remains politics untouched

I think currently it is very much possible as the teams are more equal now than before. Previously Australia was ruling the roost way ahead of the other teams. But now with the weakening of Australia other teams have become more equal and this means any team can become the no.1 spot in test cricket.

i dont seriously vouch for what you said
indian team is much better than other teams but need a consistent team like australia once with the likes of glen mcgrath jason gillispie shane warne adam ghilchrist and mathew hayden
i have never seen the same indian team in any series accept in worlcup
and selectors dont give chance to good players like uthappa dhawal kukarni

If INDIA can't gain the NO1 position in the recent time i believe then they will not be at the 3rd. They will go down.......
I didn't know how the point system works as i never think of the England team was ranked so high at time i just heard from the News.
I hope INDIA to do well and regain the NO1 spot . Next is Australia tour where they is more toughness then what they Face in this tour.

yes i agree with your point i they cant regain the spot then they dont desserve to even stand at the 3rd point ......we are the world champions i just want them to regain the form and start the winning streak again

Yes I think Indian team have lots of potential to come back any time. This time Indian team suffering from fitness problem and most of our good player are not present with team now i am dam sure that indian team will cane back soon and i think they will get this no 1 position within one year. One more thing that Next month England team will come to india and i am dam sure india will beat england team this is sure best of luck indian team

but it is really funny to see that how everyone is getting injured at the same time
in the same series .this is a unlucky series for indian players i guess
but i know still we have lot of potential to bounce back with the palyers like rahane and raina

India is not a team like zimbabwe or bangladesh they are strong team so i say to u don't think in this way
India can regain it no 1 postion soon. I thnik it not necessary fo India to play for regaining No 1 spot but should play well. The team will give a good fight to other thats all i want. Ranking doesn't matter
