Tagging discussions

The only "advantage" is that when members search for discussions prior to starting their own it will come up in the search engine. There are times that some will complain that their discussion were deleted, and it is impossible because no duplicate was found in the search.
The search cannot find discussions if they are not tagged and or properly tagged. There is no where listed that we gain monetarily for tagging.

I think it helps to categorize the discussions so that discussions of similar nature appear next to each other. It is a helpful way of allowing people respond to similar discussions at the same time one after the other after they respond to one they were interested in.

It's important to do because it allows your discussions/comments to be linked-to in other users' discussions.
(And it also lets you help direct more search-engine traffic to your discussions.)
