Has to method for adding banners changed?

I haven't added any for a while but when I tried a minute ago, I clicked on the edit profile tab, then add content, then went to the top to click the html button and all that was there was a window saying add sortie here with close below that, none of the banners that I would normally see were there, so I don't know which are the ones that I wanted to delete and I am not sure where to go from here. Can any one help please?
