I've joined odesk and freelancer months ago and it seems that its really hard to get a deal from the employers. My resume is complete and the tests which I took has good percentage but I don't get a deal yet. Is it possible? Does anyone of you have this kind of experience?

To get a deal in those sites tests are not important, you have to have some good ratings on your profile page.

Good ratings all right, but how do you get them? You have to earn them through your jobs. Getting the first jobs is important, then you can prove you can yourself and employers will give you a rating.

I agree with you godarna. You will be able to get good ratings once you get a deal, closing a project with employers is difficult you have to get the lowest bid possible in order to get a job :(

Both the sites, odesk and freelancer, do provide a broad range of job opportunities. I have joined them too, and have tried on a few listings. I have not won any job appointments yet. But, I will continue trying on at those sites.

Hi greenline. Indeed! Both of these sites offers a large numbers of job opportunities but there are also lots of employees seeking for a job. You need to be good to market your portfolio to the employers, also, bidding on projects are limited and you need to wait a few weeks in order for you to bid again. I guess I'll take your advice to continue on bidding projects. :)
